My Cardroom Just Got Busted

Recommended Posts

The place I play cards here in Indianapolis just got busted (no game running at the time). Some kid lost his tuition money and told his grandma who wrote a letter to the Sherrif's Dept. The guy that runs this place is someone I consider a stand-up guy who has helped people out many times. It sucks that he's getting burned because some boy couldn't act like a man and deal with his own problems. They even took the owner's car. WTF?

Hey Nikki... I just saw it on the news. Luckily that isn't the cardroom I play at here in Indy. I am debating whether or not to go play tonight at mine.

That really sucks Nikki. We use to play little tournaments in the bars here and that got busted up on my 39th Birthday. I was so excited to go out during the weeknight only to find out there was no game. :(It amazes me what law enforcement will focus on. It is easy to focus on a card room. I wish there was more focus on abuse, violence, theft, etc.Sorry about what is going on in your neck of the woods.

Yeah, we have girls being lured away at bus stops, shootings, teachers having sex with students, and this is what they decide to bust. Oh, yeah, but it's ok to have boat gambling and a state sponsored lottery. This is so not cool.

It's complete crap. Yeah, the news is talking about how maybe "juveniles" are playing there. He was NOT letting kids in there. For television and politicians it's all about spin. Crap I say!

She should have written a letter to the wahhhhmbulance instead. Would've been perfect for him. It's unfortunate his selfishness is everyone else's loss.

That is by far one of the stupidest explanations that Sheriff gave the paper. Moms and dads and college kids are going to play somewhere. If not there, they can certainly lose their "milk money" at the Caesars or in Ohio, or Michigan as well. BTW, who the hell calls it milk money anymore anyways. People dont buy milk anymore, its called vodka now i think.

Did the owner give up his Constitutional Rights to have them replaced with code? Is he a Sovereign American or a slave? If he's not a slave then he needs to default the state. (Make the state prove he's a slave) See: Yick Wo V. Hopkins. Get a good/honest lawyer (if there is such a thing) and have him actually prove he's innocent and not sell you out like all the rest do. Then he can sue the cops (Code Enforcers) for false arrest along with the prosecution for knowingly and willfully violating his constitutional rights. Let the civil suits fly. It's time to take back our freedom from these cocksuckers. We are NOT living in a democracy. We live in a Constitutional Republic. No matter what the Govt. news tells you. Just ranting cause I hate to see this shit happen. I get riled up.BradDid I also read that they took his car? Did they have a judgement from a magistrate? If not, they stole it. That's another charge against the code enforcers. If that's the case and they did take his car without a judgement then it's his duty to report that to the FBI for investigation. I'd bury them muther****ers if that shit ever happened to me. I'd be their worst ****ing nightmare. I'm still riled.Brad

You probably would be their worst nightmare... nothing worse than a guy referring to SC decisions that aren't relevant to the subject at hand.I mean, unless I missed the part of the story that mentioned the guy running the card room is a resident alien who was subject to a municipal code based on race/nationality.

well, quite obviously I read the same story as you, which states that he'll face "...felony charges, including tax charges..." so I'd assume tax evasion is one of the crimes he committed. Care to direct us to another Supreme Court ruling, and maybe even a relevant one this time?

Please post for me the law that he broke if you will. Did he commit a crime? The subject at hand? Did he get arrested? Did they take his car? I think it is relevent as any of them so called crimes he commited were merely "code violations". Ever hear of "Common Law"? That's the only law I'm subject to.Here's another case for you to look up. Self V. Rhay.Sorry. I had the name wrong. I just edited it.Brad
