  1. I have, about 9 months ago. I received a check without any problem and deposited it into my bank account. A day or two later I received another identical check and after some deliberation, I called them and told them they had double paid me. The lady at Bodog basically told me the first check was bad and not long after my bank told me the same thing. The second check was fine and I never really received an explanation as to why the first was bad.
  2. Dammit. Hopefully their preparation saves tens of thousands of lives. This looks terrible.
  3. It was. I laughed many times when the tea partiers were being mocked, ad nauseum. And now I'm laughing at the specific way a state politician is mocking a large group of people, many of them his constituents. I also think it's funny that custom thinks that the politician's comments are "disgusting." I'm sure he was disgusted by the way the tea partiers were mocked.
  4. All right, I just watched about 4 minutes, and it was hilarious. He's simply stating that it takes a certain loserish quality to choose to sleep on a ****ing air mattress in the middle of the capitol building for days on end. When the host and the protesters point out that they have been washing in the bathroom every morning and expect him to make a lame ass apology for his comments he says something like, "yeah they're washing up in the bathroom in the morning which is kind of another reason they're slobs."Admittedly I only watched a few minutes, but c'mon, it was funny.I just watched a few
  5. I happened to hear him on NPR yesterday morning. He was saying that the protesters who stayed overnight at the capitol building were slobs. I thought it was sort of funny and harmless, if only to hear a politician speak honestly about a large group of people who will be voting in the next election. I didn't watch your 17 minute you tube clip.
  6. It's not a good or bad thing. It's just the natural results of a freeish economy with a large, diverse workforce. I don't hear people arguing that the widening income gap is awesome, just that it's bad, so that's what I'm taking issue with. Again, the economy isn't a zero-sum game. If someone has "too much" it doesn't mean someone else has "too little" because of it. Which is why I don't understand why the income gap is thought to be so inherently bad.
  7. Quoted in today's paper, the union rep in my area (La Crosse) had these doozies. "Ultimately, what we're talking about here is workers' rights. Once they're done with the public sector, they'll come for the private workers as well." "This has nothing to do with balancing the budget, it has everything to do with whittling away the middle class, and ending workers' rights in the state.Which leads me to believe that he is either functionally retarded or, like all union reps I've met in my life, deliberately disingenuous and hyperbolic in order to further his political agenda.
  8. This is what Wisconsin wants, or this is what Madison wants? Because Madison is basically the Berkeley of the midwest. Wisconsin recently elected a governor that openly ran on a platform of, "Unions are bankrupting the state and I'm going to do everything I can to balance the budget."
  9. Everybody who has a job in the private sector provides value to society. A bad teacher provides less value to society than a good janitor.
  10. I don't really understand your beef. I'm just pointing out that according to the link All-in provided, the Vp of Egypt is supported by the CIA because of his tough stance on Islamic fundamentalism, so he shouldn't be so seemingly excited that Mubarak is stepping down. Because All-in thinks the U.S. is the great devil.
  11. "Mubarak said he was handing "the functions of the president" to Vice-President Omar Suleiman." I guess that sentence led me to believe that Mubarak was handing the functions of the president to Omar Suleiman.
  12. But the man taking over is an "ardent anti-islamist" and is supported by the CIA. I heard one time he shoved a suppository up a dude's ass and slapped him so hard his blindfold came off. Then he destroyed the supply line of weapons going into Gaza. You should be filled with righteous indignation right now.
  13. Communism looks good on paper too.Anyone with the motivation and desire to run a system like this is an *******, and not deserving of so much power.Fascists walk funny, and wear funny hats.
  14. Maude: Do you like sex, Mr. Lebowski?Dude: Excuse me?Maude: Sex. The physical act of love. Coitus. Do you like it?Dude: We were talking about my rug.
