Rush Hour 4 - Jackie's Revenge.

Me - 350donkey - 900I have no reads on the table yet, But its late on a weeknight, and these guys look like business men, and not poker players.I pick up JJ in the cutoff. UTG who is short stacked leads out for 10. folds to me, and I pick up that he's weak and wants to gamble and leave. His buddy had just come over and said something about leaving. He polished off his drink after betting the 10. So i make a big re-raise to 42. Basically putting him all in. The button decides to call the 42 leaving him 50 behind. (I couldnt believe that) and the Donkey with the big stack calls from small blind. The UTG player moves all in. But he had more than i thought he went all in for 58 total. so it was 16 more. which meant i couldnt re-raise. At this point i reached a tuff spot. either i push all in, for another 250 more, or i just call.I decided to just call, the button decides to move all in, and small blind calls again. so i call again. The pot is about $320 at this point. Did I play this horribly? I obviously did not expect button, or sb to call. AND now that i got into this mess, I wasnt too comfortable pushing in another 250 with JJ, when sb could actually have a big hand that hes willing to call my shove with

how do you have any decisions if you can't re-raise? you only have 1 and that is to call.i'm not a fan of the huge rr pf. i think we have position on raiser and only button and blinds behind us. i make it $30ish preflop. i think you had to call UTG AI and then button could raise and he shoved. SB donkey smooth called the $100 and it's back to you. at this point i shove and get a side pot with the donkey where if i beat him i still make $ in the hand and if he folds which i don't see based on his action your probably ahead/racing UTG/Button.

This is a tough spot with JJ because when the cards roll over, we often see that the aggressors are stealing each others' outs over us with hands like AK AQ etc. This is really read dependent how far I go with this hand. I've both mucked it and shoved it.

Why would a Wookiee, an eight-foot tall Wookiee, want to live on Endor, with a bunch of two-foot tall Ewoks? That does not make sense! But more important, you have to ask yourself: What does this have to do with this hand? Nothing. Ladies and gentlemen, it has nothing to do with this hand! It does not make sense! Look at me. I'm an engineer discussing cards, and I'm talkin' about Chewbacca! Does that make sense? Ladies and gentlemen, I am not making any sense! None of this makes sense! And so you have to remember, when you're in that jury room deliberatin' and conjugatin' the Emancipation Proclamation, [approaches and softens] does it make sense? No! Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, it does not make sense! If Chewbacca lives on Endor, you must call! The defense rests.-- plagiarized from South Park

:club: Really, if you make a reraise here and then never have the option of reraising, what is there to discuss here?

he can't reraise the UTG raise but Button pushes his last $50 after RT calls the $12 so it comes back to him and he can reraisedoes that make any sense cause it sounds convoluted wehn i read it?

It makes no sense at all, because if RT can't raise, why is the button allowed to?

Yeah, the button shouldn't be allowed to RR after coldcalling the 1st time. The action seems to make sense until that point.

Unless the casino counts an all-in move as being different from a re-raise, this makes no sense.

Because the button hadn't closed action on the original re-raise and the re-re-raise was more than twice the button's original action, but since the all in was NOT double of the re-raise, the re-raiser didn't have re-re-raise action. Pretty standard, really.

And yeah, wtf are you talking about? Reread the OP. At no point should the button be able to RR after he calls Royal's original $40ish RR.

I was just trying to make sense of the action and question from the OP
The question in the OP seems poinless as he never has a decision where he can consider folding and he should also never have a choice where he can shove.

OK. So my confusion is justified. I was even confused about whether or not I should be confused.

After much deliberation, I've come to the conclusion that he should call.

i am retarded this is what i was thinkingroyal raises $32, button calls, sb calls, UTG raises to $50 Allinnow its on royal and he cannot raise because the all in was less than the $18 UTG bet all in. royal calls $18. now for some reason i thought that since the $18 all in from utg and royals $18 is > than Royal's $32 raise that the action would open up again.i have absolutely no clue why i think this is a rule but obv it isn't

RT, can you clarify what's going on here?

He never has an option other than calling based on the statements in the OP.Therefore this post is essentially: Should I call with JJ preflop getting infinity to 1 pot odds, or should I fold?RT = Donk :club:
