  1. That post doesn't make sense. You raise from UTG(left of the big blind). Then you say the table folds around to the small blind on the flop? Um, the small blind is first to act on the flop. Did he check-raise "all in"? Did he bet and then everyone folded? You would have had to raise if that was the case or else he wouldn't be able to go all in.
  2. Sweet, I'll just move to the UK and automatically be better!
  3. I'd call. So it costs you another 500k to call, big deal. You still have a HUGE chip lead over the rest of the field and if you lose this pot, you'll get it back real quick if you continue to raise every 2.5 hands or so winning 95k a pop. It's a small price to pay to send the message "I'm willing to gamble if you come over the top of my raise." Win or lose, you can be pretty sure the small stacks are going to tighten up even more after a call like that. When they all looked at you funny, did you give them the standard online poker response? "But they were suited!"
  4. Feels good to be right :-) Thanks for the quizzes Daniel, I really think they help us amatuer(I apologize if anvybody here is a "pro") players see things from your point of view. Watch out for us at the WSOP next year!P.S. Are all the quizzes going to be about NL Hold Em? What about Omaha?
  5. First, although I don not agree with Josh's comments he made to Harry Demetriou, David Williams, or any of the other televised incidents on ESPN, put yourself in his shoes for a second. He was playing for 5 MILLION DOLLARS!Let me repeat that so it sinks in, 5 MILLION DOLLARS!He has a wife and kids, that is a life changing amount of money. I'm not saying he should be excused, but money and greed are very powerful things and can easily make people act or behave in a different manner than they normally do.And it's not just Josh Arieh that were affected by the money this year. Look at how Scott
  6. "I'm a great player, just unlucky at the moment."We all lose pots due to being unlucky, it's a part of poker and it just happens. You sound as if you always lose due to being "unlucky". Are you sure it's due to luck or does your game need work? What I mean is, are you raising in EP with 58s and "unlucky" when you lose to a higher flush? For what it's worth, here's my advice. Pick a format and stick to it! Don't play NL just to make a big score and hope to win your money back. Stick with limit, learn it, master it, then move up a level. Can you really afford $20/$40? If not, play $5/$10,
  7. I'd call. If you had AA, KK, or even QQ, you probably would have raised preflop. If you had a made flush, it would be in your best interest to check to the preflop raiser. Your all in bet tells me you're trying to protect a flush draw or a worse hand than my Jacks. Sure you could have hit a set, but since your playing against the short stack, you probably would have pushed pre-flop with any pair and put me to the decision right then. So I could rule out that possibility too.You probably defended your blind with an A9 and have top pair with outs if your nines are no good. Even though you've
  8. Even better, I love people that call down to the river with AK when neither of them hit the flop

    Any idea?

He lost. I read on another site in which Daniel said "Eli caught every hand". Sounded to me like Eli had a nice run of cards.Other winners that I know of were Harmon and Lederer.
  10. It appears the vast majority are in favor of folding, so instead of jumping on the bandwagon, I'm gonna go out on a limb here and call. Why would the SB go all in if he indeed have a monster hand? Wouldn't he flat call and hope the BB came along for the ride? I know it can be a bad move slow playing a huge hand, but when you're low on chips, sometimes it's worth the risk to try and triple up rather than double up. That really would be the deciding factor for me. Just the fact that he pushed the big blind out of the pot would lead me to believe his hand is not as good as he wants us to belie
