My family is all good. I honestly never knew what was going on until someone text me at 3 pm.

I am surprised the wife did not get a call to go in to work. She is on the Code Orange list. I remember when they put her on the list I thought to myself, I hope you never get called.

You going to Utica? lol

After everything that's happened the last 48hours, tonight will be a nice break from all the awful news. Will be very "stressful" in a very different way, and I for one am really looking forward to being able to lose myself in some sports tonight. I honestly cannot recall a bigger night for Toronto sports in my lifetime, save for maybe the Jays World Series games in the 90's and Leafs in semi-finals, but this has a different feel with 3 of the teams having HUGE games, possibly all the biggest game the franchises have played in over 15 years.

Really hoping for some good sports news.

Thankfully, I was not working. The medics and firefighters that responded would have had to make decisions that will haunt them.

I think we on the outside have no real clue what first responders really go through, myself fully included. I hadn't even considered the "decisions" factors up til now.

I hate to burst the party of the Raptors, but the Marlies rank higher in my interest..Sorry I have tried and tried and tried to get into basketball..I have been to Raptors games..I live in the market of the greatest NBA team the last couple of years..I just cant do it..The only way I can watch basketball is if I have a few dollars bet on it...Even thats hard..I m the last person to believe in conspiracy theories, however if I was to believe in conspiracies and "fixes" the NBA would be one of them..

Having said all that I hope for the city the Raptors win..I will try and watch a few minutes before the Leafs game starts and maybe check the score during intermission. I respect all you guys that are into basketball..However I just cant do it.

Soccer was a similar battle with me..I was born in a country that soccer was insanity..My father was a huge soccer fan..I would watch the World Cups and the Euros..But not much else..Recently having covered the USL Fresno FC , getting to know the players, coaches and the fans..I have had a resurgence in the game...I will definetely watch the Toronto FC match from Mexico tonight as time permits and no crazy overtime situations overlapping.

So here is my ranking of the nights activities..

Leafs

Toronto FC

Toronto Blue Jays

Toronto Raptors

The Marlies was a sort of a joke..but its not too far off..

Also the Barracuda have a huge playoff game tonight in Tuscon...As well the first place Fresno Grizzlies return home for a homestand starting tonight..

PS to ARP

You were dead on on your assesments..Tony Kemp is an amazing player to watch. Funny he is the size of my 13 year old son, but man he is exciting..And Kyle Tucker is a going to be a big star in the Majors.

I will grant you one thing about the NBA.....officiating is the "worst" in the pro leagues. Not saying they aren't as qualified, just that the rules are so poorly enforced, with little consistency.

I'm just such a big fan of the sport, I try to overlook it. I haven't played basketball for 5 months, and that might be the longest stretch I've done since I was a child.

I feel like a drug addict trying to go straight, miss it so much.

Leafs down by 2 games, have come back to tie the series. Bruins haven't lost 3 straight games all year.

Wizards down by 2 games, have come back to tie the series. Raptors haven't lost 3 straight game all year.

TFC has never won a game in Mexico. They need to win by 2.

3 for 3 tonight baby, lets go!

I think we agree on NBA refs being bad but nobody rivals MLB umpires on arrogance.

re: TFC. I'm assuming road goals is the tie breaker? so if TFC wins 1-0 tonight, they lose, if they win 3-2, they win? What happens if they win 2-1? Penalties?

100%

I have no idea whats gotten into them, and why someone doesnt tell them to simmer down, no one came to watch you. Why MLB lets them get away with it I dont understand.

Get Lasagna the other 2 days.

And def get the cannoli's.

My grandmother lives right there, and a couple of other family members. Been there a few times.

My wife was working in that area for a week, she started with lunches, and by Wed, she was bringing home dinner for all of us.

everything looks great and the prices are really reasonable.

That is one thing that Scarborough really has going for it is the huge number of reasonably priced great ethnic food places and most of them are in random nondescript strip plazas and family run.

Commercial during Raps game and Leafs pre game.

Put on the Blue Jays game, just to stare at the crowd at the Rogers Centre and judge them

I bet there were a lot texts and phone calls today. I got 2 tickets to the Jays game. They are yours. And a lot of responses of no thanks
