I felt I needed to come out of hiding after the fiasco over Daniel's blog. I know most of you don't know me, and don't really care about my opinion, but too bad, here it is anyway.Daniel, I feel you have been treated unfairly about your blog comments. I do not agree with everything that you wrote, but I do feel like you have a right to your own opinion, and should be able to express it without it becoming such a heated event. Everyone here has an opinion, and while some of us may not like it, we all deserve respect. I'm sorry that you even felt you had to explain yourself, Daniel. As I said before, I may not agree with you, but I respect you. If someone decided not to be a fan of your poker play because they can't respect your personal opinions... well, I'm sure myself and countless others will willingly take their place.Feel free to talk politics in your blogs any time you want. When people get attacked they always say "Well, I'm entitled to my opinion". Of course you are, but if you say something like that, don't expect people not to notice and blast you for it. I never accused you or anyone else of saying Daniel doesn't have a right express his opinion. What i said that "I feel" he has a right to an opinion, and should have a right to express it without all this chaos. My point is, he deserves respect -- as do you. Dismissing people who disagree as uninformed is like ranting at people for bad play at the poker table. If the person is in fact merely uninformed, you look like an ***, and you are motivating them to be a better enemy. If the person is NOT uninformed, and quite possibly knows a lot more than you do, you're a presumptive idiot who is precisely delineating for everyone what the limits of your knowledge are. it's a lose-lose. I feel that I MUST say something here with regards to the conclusion of the Sept. 26th blog.Please-please-please do not stop giving your opinion on anything and everything!It's your blog, it's your opinion, it's your right to freely express yourself and as a loyal fan and admirer, I feel it's your duty to be open and honest. I am, like yourself, split right down the middle with regards to politics. I also believe that we are similar in that we both believe that nothing can change to our liking unless the issues and concerns of everyday (North) America are discussed openly and peacefully.Its my opinion that you have never overstepped your boundries with regards to expressing your opinion on an ethical and politically correct level. Please consider the notion that if you allow these few opposing radicals to drive you down with thier polarizing and close-mindedness, that the real cause that you have always stood for will lose one of its greatest contributors.Even though I am a hardcore Agnostic and you are a devote Christian I have never been offended or even slightly put-off by your views; infact, you have enlightened me on countless occassions with your well thought-out and genuinely honest opinions. Please do not stop speaking your mind; I assure you with all my confidence that the civil minded unspoken protagonists that 100% agree with your etiquette severly out number the polarizing radicals.
