Are you going by yourself? If you are going with a group you should look into renting a cabin or house for a couple of days.Depending on how cheap you are, there are extremely cheap motels all around the area. Also, look at the Harvey's or Harrah's casino website. Only $80 a night for a classic room at Harvey's. When I go I usually just stay there because Harvey's is the casino I'm in the most.https://www.harrahs.com/MakeReservation.do

It will take about 30 minutes to sign up. Plus you will want to settle down from the long drive. Are you playing is a prelim event? The structure is usually pretty decent if I recall. It seems to me that there was plenty of play for the first couple of hours. The prlim events are mostly planned as two day tournies so the structure should be pretty good.
