  1. It seems to be unanimous. My mistake was thinking that I can force multiple folds with my big raise. At the time I thought it was a high percentage play. Having started down that treacherous path I then further exacerbated it by the c-bet.This hand has been weighing heavily on my mind for almost 24 hours now. I've been deconstructing it over and over again. I did correctly sense weakness preflop, and Villain 2's call was very loose in my opinion (I'll post his hand in white below).Granted the safe and smart thing to do was to just call and hope that the BB completes the betting and I flop a se
  2. This was my fifth hand at the table. The only read I have is Villain 1 has been playing every hand so far.PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (9 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)UTG+1 ($4.42)MP1 ($2.70)MP2 ($3.24)MP3 ($4.50)CO =#A500AF(Villain 2)/ ($1.15)Button ($3.22)Hero ($4.90)BB ($5.76)UTG =#A500AF(Villain 1)/ ($4.54)Preflop: Hero is SB with 6, 6. 3. As it turned out it worked so in this situation against this villain it didn't really matter. Although the paired board certainly gives a potential for a full and, if I had the straight I might be a little hesitant to call an all in bet at that point, depending on the situation.
  4. As it turned out Villain did have the straight with 88, good read. The river was a 5 to paired the board and give me a boat, sixes over fives. I was able to felt Villain by putting him all in when I bet his stack size (3.50 into a 3.29 pot) and he called. Wasn't a good play though, as I could have lost him on that bet. I should have played as you mentioned above. That is a much better play. Thanks for the insight.
  5. Thanks. Point taken. Give smaller pot odds to the draws. What do you think about my turn bet size? I stand corrected on the trips/set. I see your thinking on the river action. Very good stuff. I will remember that in the future. Would you concur with money on the flop bet size? How about the turn bet?
  6. Villain has only been at the table a short time. I haven't seen any showdowns from him, so I have no reads.PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)SB ($5.08)Hero ($5.69)UTG ($3.20)UTG+1 ($0.73)MP1 ($1.67)MP2 =#A500AF(Villain)/ ($4.98)MP3 ($1.90)CO ($5.19)Button ($12.78)Preflop: Hero is BB with 6, 6. 7. Ok, so I will close this thread since it has degenerated into Chuck Norris jokes (not that I mind). Here's the end of the hand.River: ($3.27) (3 players)Villain checks, CO checks, Hero checks.Final Pot: $3.27Results below:Villain has 6c Jc (flush, jack high). CO has Kc Ad (one pair, aces). Hero has Kd As (one pair, aces). Outcome: Villain wins $3.27.Who saw this coming? Was this just strange, or was it me? Given my raising I would NOT have put him on a back door flush. He calls a pot size raise with just jack high on the flop? What the heck was he looking for? He had to hit runner-runner for
  8. Ok. How's "I got a strange glow."
  9. When it was happening I just got a weird vibe from Villain. I wasn't too concerned about CO. I found it strange for villain to limp then call a raise preflop, then to check and call large raise on the flop. What can I put him on? 88? 22? A8? A2? I can't put him on AA. He could be slow playing the middle or bottom set. In which case he'd be looking to get someone with a A to bet. Do you smell trap here too? I certainly didn't like his play. Either he was a complete idiot or he was playing me well.
  10. Been at the table a short while. CO seems fairly solid. 12. So the 1/3 pot bet by villain then the call of the pot size raise on the flop followed by a check on the turn should have scared me? Should I not have bet the .50 into a .85 pot after his check? Like I said I'm trying to train myself to be more aggressive, was this just dumb? Should I have learned what I needed to learn by his call on the flop? And yes, he is all in at this point.
