highlimit 0 Posted September 25, 2006 Share Posted September 25, 2006 daniel is clearly one of the better players at that game. he doesnt sit back like antonio and uni bomber waiting for hands. daniel plays the "game". he plays the "money" game and not the "card" game. ok, he turned out to be a payoff wizard in spots that were obvious he was beat but he has his reasons. i know his reasons. i saw another thread on here but it was locked but there was a lot of criticism about his call for 80,000 with pocket jacks. its the right call at that level of game. greenstein is capable of anything espeacially after playing tight for so long. daniel knows this. besides, whenever u have a big pocket pair and someone else has a bigger one, its a cold deck. in the long run, you'll come out ahead making those calls. daniel plays poker. others play cards. both styles are profitable but playing "poker" in the long run is more profitable. look at all the pots daniel steals. those add up over time too. That's a rather basic fact of holdem.Now, you also claim3) not anyone can just sit down.Yes they can. It was a game held in a casino, and as such you could have gone in there and played. Remember the Andy Beal HU match at $50k/$100k HE? Of course you do - you were probably asked to play by Doyle himself but you must have been busy with other ventures.
