I flat call and go from there. I'm not trying to bloat the pot with a raise when I have a measly pair of 7s. The only exception is maybe a CR on the flop, as I think you'll have a large amount of folding equity on the flop, as opposed to the turn and river.If you raise the flop and he calls, I'm probably giving up the hand to any good sized bet after that.I'll also add, I'm probably not going much farther in the hand if another broadway card shows up.

I was kicking the **** out of 25NL and have a sufficient bankroll to move up, so I did. Within a week, I had went down 9 buyins and was so close to going busto and would have if I didn't stop. I was getting my great hands cracked 90% of the time and the other 10% I was overplaying hands because of my shitty variance. I'm still taking a break. I'm still gambling and building my bankroll through bonus whoring and what not, but I'm not pokering right now.

I actually took up Omaha Hi for this very same reason. Sometimes you're running really bad in one game, but you still need to play in order to clear bonuses and stuff. Omaha HI/8 is filled with fish, so even if you only know the basics, you stand to win your share as long as you don't get emotional from your bad run in hold 'em.

Heh, now Forrest had to get lucky to win. Both of these guys are luckboxes, imo.. Forrest is really good on top of it, though.

In ever single match he has had to get lucky in order to win. He's against Forrest right now and hit a two outter on the river to give him a set and double through Ted. Absolutely unbelievable.

First of all, I hate Sheik. He's not a very skilled player which is why I'm curious how he built his bankroll. Then of course there is his attitude which makes me want to punch him threw a wall.But if anyone besides the Sheik would have made that play, people would have been talking about what a world class bluff that was.

I've always wondered the same thing. Every T.V. event he's ever played on, he has busted out early or didn't put in a very good showing.

I'm reading this book and so far I'm pretty impressed. I'm mostly a cash game player, so I skim through the parts that are tournament specific. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone who wants to strengthe their NL game.
