What books would Daniel recommend?

Recommended Posts

I always said that I would never ask Daniel a direct question because I think they're cheesy and also he is way to busy to answer all of the ones that are posed to him. So I'll get around it by posing it as a general question to all with the slight hope that he might actually answer it. I'm clever like that :D I wonder what he would recommend first or at least a small sample of the order that one should read if they are just starting out at poker.Duff

In a September '04 interview with Larry Grossman (you can check it out on CardPlayer.com), Daniel strongly recommended Sklansky's Theory of Poker. He said it is a must have, and that it will improve your game considerably. Above all, he recommended getting out there and playing. He said, (I'm paraphrasing here) "You can read all the poker books out there, but nothing beats actual table experience". So, get out there and get playing!

I think he recently said throw all your books away.  Not his new one of course.
Yes, that's what I tell everyone who's not a friend! The less people supercharged on theory of poker, holdem for advanced players, ss1 and 2 the better!I'd rather play someone who hasn't read 'em than some someone who has.
