  1. I'm lazy, so I'm not going to quote everything and respond. But I will make some general observations1) Hand 1: I think you're way too paranoid here. That's a raggety flop. If you fear any turn here, you fear way too much. The only scary parts are the ace, which you hit, and the two flush, and the vast majority of the time, your opponents aren't going to be holding 2 of that suit. If someone has a lower ace, they're drawing to 3 outs. If they have a higher ace, they're raising here nearly all the time. There's nothing you can do about the flush draw.Far worse is missing a c/r and giving a lon
  2. A good player can make 2BB/100, a great player (too good to be at those stakes at least) can make 3BB/100 there. It's absolutely true, and pretty much indisputable. No one with significant experience would disagree. Also, it applies across pretty much all stakes--one of LHE's dominant forces, bicyclekick, said that the bellagio 200/400 is about as soft as party's 50/100. like i said, my experience live at 5/10 was that it was softer than 1/2 online. once i start beating 5/10, i'll probably be playing much, much higher in casinos. That's true, although it probably doesn't go into low limiit pla

  4. Enough to call down? Oy oy oy. Screw calling; I think we can fit another raise in.
  5. I'm ok with an overcall on the river. It's a situation where if he calls incorrectly, he's costing himself pennies in the long run. If he folds incorrectly, he costs himself dollars in the long run. I also think that players tend to value overcalls, esp. in micro games. I can see some argument here, but I'd need a good read on both the bettor and the overcaller to fold.
  6. Sorry, I had to reread the hands. C/Ring is still wrong though.Hand 2- good PF raise. Bet the flop for the normal reasons. There's 0 reason to c/r. Bet/fold the turn, you're beating virtually nothing.Hand 3- Again, why check the flop? Bet for the same reasons in 2, and in 1. I'm thinking that you probably are giving way too much value to flush draws every time you c/r a flop simply because you have TP and it's 2 suited. You also miss value from everyone (and there are many) who will literally call the flop with anything, but might fold the turn. You also need to consider, even here, metagame pr

  8. Check/raising all of these flops is incorrect. Very much so. It makes all of these lines more difficult, unfortunately.Hand 1- Easy, good PF call. Folding here on the debilitating side of weak-tight.Don't c/r. While your idea of charging flush draws is nice, there are some big problems that make betting the better play:1) Most of the time, this will get checked through. Giving infinite odds sucks a lot more than giving favorable odds. Bet.2) You probably have the best hand, and are missing value. This is SH, they'll make plenty of stupid incorrect calls.Even if they have the flush drawwould o
  9. Actuary's right on. Actuary, when did you get so good at poker? :-)
  10. This is why we need reeeeeads. Reads are what let you consistently make the correct decision in small pot HU situations like this.Maybe I'm biased from 6-max experience, but donking doesn't always indicate a good hand. If there were 2 more BB's, I might call down, but this ain't worth it.
  11. You made the right decision. Do not, ever, slowplay this flop. Its size, the number of opponents your have, and the fact that anyone with a high diamond will come along no matter what means you'll miss TONS of value by not betting here. You played it correctly. It's not close at all.
  12. If SB is very aggressive and your opponents are very weak, the raise might be ok. I'm still folding here most of the time though. Your hand sucks and the pot isn't really worth fighting for.You can fold to the flop 3-bet, even getting 12 to 1 or whatever. Your A outs aren't good, and your 2 will be counterfeited or already beaten here a ton. I'm not even giving 2 outs for it.
  13. Depends on the stakes, your skill, and how many tables you're playing.Online, you'll see ~60 hands/hour, but far more than that if you're playing shorthanded (which you should do as soon as you can comfortably beat full ring). I've never seen 40 hands/hour live though, more like 30.To give any kind of reasonable figure, I'd need to know the stakes and skill level. But for a good player relative to his limi, 2BB/100 is good, and 3BB/100 isn't unheard of until about 10/20; pretty much impossible at that point. Realize that online games at the same limit are tougher than their live counterparts
  14. Yep.Since he 3-bet you in MP PF, then just called the flop, you're correct in thinking there's a huge chance that he has an ace. Nevertheless, the pot's too big to check and let him push you have if he's holding some crap like KJ. Bet/fold the turn. If you call the turn, you HAVE to call the rvier, getting 11 to 1. I hate to say it, but calling the turn and folding the river is the worst play.
