just curious...

As to what most of you started out with playing online and what you're sitting at now.Combined, I started out with 150$ on 3 sites and I'm sitting above 3600$ playing off and on...it's split between sites and I don't have much time to play. I'm thinking about consolidating to one site and upping my limit. Any takes on this?**note**I'm not flexing my e-peen.**note2**I tried using the search function.

Thanks, I kinda like you too. :club:
naah, i dont believe him..I think he is infact felxing it.but I started with 25.00 min deposit, and made 80, then lost that 80 playin like a donk 2 years ago, then redeposited 100.00 played and made 1600 in my first few months, and cashed that out, (all over a year ago), and then redeposited 100 agian and worked that up to my current BR.

What can I say...I'm trying to compensate...I think my biggest problem is not touching my BR when I go on a hot streak...it's just hard leaving free money alone.
heres my thoughts,, u say u play on 3 sites, thats ok. most of us have multi accounts on multi sites.I ask though, do u play 1 site for certain games? Ie cash on one, MTT's on another HU on another? Nl on one Limit on one??this should be your only reason, if not if ur playign the same games on all, then my suggestion is to increase ur BR on one site, and yes. perhaps step it up a notch.you can be playing 1/2 NL or 2,4 limit. unless u already are. you could even jump to 3,6 ur BR is pretty solid. The key to leaving that money alone is within your ability to look 2 years down the road.If the 3600 is a lot to you, and you only play for fun and extra coin, maybe u should think about cashing out every so often, but if u are serious about it, and really want to continue to climb in limits, just imagine what pay days wil be with a 15k BR.instead of a regular day of 2BB/100 at 2/4 making like 8 bucks an hour, u could be playing 5/10 or even 10/20 on occasion making 20 -40 an hour.

Well, right now I'm still sticking to 2/4 limit and I play mainly .5/1$ no limit - just because I don't necessarily like the swings I get with it. I don't necessarily have the best instinct for all marginal situations yet and that's why I like limit.I play Pokerstars for the Turbo tournaments. Usually playing the 6.50/12/25$ Turbo's and the satellites.I play on Full Tilt for the MTT's (18 player max) and cash games.Party Poker...I'm not even sure why I still have money there. I started out with a free 75$ that I got on a promotion from a friend (which I can still get for all of you guys looking to setup a party poker account for a free 75$, no bullshit.)So I should probably just cash out there. I think I have about 500ish on Party Poker.I'm not going to lie - 3600$ is quite a bit to me in one lump sum. Over the long haul, it's not really all that much.I would love to see 15,000$ sitting in one place online...I'm sure it would be a good feeling just to have 15,000$ as something to play with and be able to mature it...guess I'll have to look at it that way. With how busy my life is, it's hard to get really serious about it - although I wish I could. Thanks for the insight on that one.

I started with $50 online and quickly ran that up to enough to buy my Gremlin... now I just try to win enough to buy the oil for the beast. I used the valet at the Bellagio last week and the sprinklers went off under the front doorway. If you ever go there notice that there is a bag of kitty litter over by the bell-desk, for some reason they sprinkle it under my car wherever its parked....

Started out with $100 deposit on Party, wanted to see if I can make some money over the summer since an internship fell through and I was lazy. Played $25 NL shorthanded tables, and turned the original deposit into about $3200 with some regular playing and bonus chasing. This was from end of May to August. Since then I've played a lot less and switched my game to limit full ring. Started out at 1/2 and moved up to 2/4, which has been up and down. I've made about $300 since switch to limit, but I'm pretty sure my winrate is crap.

I started in June with the money from instantbankroll.com and turned it into $2,500 and a load of free crap. Not all of the money in my bankroll is from poker though. I'm signed up for a bunch of survey groups and I've made around $500 from that in the same period. Its nice that I haven't had to put any of my own money in.

instantbankroll is kinda like fifty4freeExcept fifty4free you don't have to deposit anything.Anyways, that all sounds good....I'm trying to find easy ways of making money to up my bankroll to play in bigger limits. Since I don't necessarily have the time to work it up completely.Maybe I should do a car wash.

You don't have to deposit anything for instantbankroll. They have the option to get $75 for free if you've never had a party account. After you play 500 hands, you get a $25 bonus and can leave. If you want to earn some extra cash, look at my blog because there are some links to some of the survey sites that I use. I listed the ones that have been the best to me so far. I just answer the surveys while I play.

What's a survey group? How do you get in on that??
There are serval research companies online that pay you to answer some questions. Here is the link to my blog and you can sign up for the ones that have been the best to me so far and you can see for yourself how good they can be.My Blog

Thanks for the info shinychicken. I'm definitely going to look into that as a random thing I can do on the side for a little bit of money. As for my own bankroll, it took me a while but once I got things right it's been steadily going up and up. I started over a year ago with 100 and bounce around a lot but made a little while playing casually (and not really having much of an idea of what I was doing.) I cashed out a little to buy poker books and promptly lost the rest. I did this a few times and overall I broke even until this past January. In January I decided to take things more seriously and deposited 1,000. I started out well making a couple of hundred but a combination of poor play, tilt and playing over my head (1200 is NOT enough for 1/2NL) I lost almost all of it (had about 100 left). After taking a couple of weeks off I decide to try limit. It was around this time that I found FCP and had read a lot of the Smasharoo 50-1000 posts and felt like I was starting to understand what I had been doing wrong in my few limit expeditions up to this point.I deposit 1,000 on Party and plan on playing 2/4 limit. Since then I've been doing great, making about $12,000 and currently I have a working bankroll of 5,000 and just made the move to 5/10. Note, about 4,000 came from being a prop on various sites and I'm currently doing that to pay the bills while any money I win at the table is staying in the bankroll.Zara
