  1. Yeah, sorry about that. I made the post at like 3am after I got home from the casino so I was a bit tired....On the river, villian bet, and mp2 called. I was wondering if I should've called or raised.
  2. Live 2/4 game. Table for the most part is loose/passive.Villian is EXTREMELY loose. I mean she's played virtually every hand dealt to her for the 2 plus hours I've been at the table, calls everything down with any piece of the board she connects with but won't raise even with the nuts. Aggrivating as hell, but she's an ATM and she's having fun giving her cash away....Anyways: Hero is on the button with Jh 9h.6 limpers to flop: Qh 6h Assb checks, bb(villian) checks, utg bets, mp2 calls, hero raises, sb folds, bb calls 2 cold, utg/mp2 callTurn: Ksall check to hero, hero checksRiver: 10hHero?I di
  3. Hero is bb with Kh 10sVillian is loose raiser preflop. Any ace, suited face cards, any pocket pair. Utg limps, mp1 limps, villian mp2 raises, btn calls, sb folds, hero calls, mp1 callsFlop: 10d 8h KcHero bets mp1 calls, villian calls, btn foldsTurn: 2s Hero bets, mp1 folds, villian callsRiver: AhHero?I'm pretty sure I got him beat with my 2 pair, but would it be better to attempt a check raise or just bet out again, have him raise with maybe Ax so I can reraise? He's been known to call down all the way to try to hit something when he misses flops.Hand #2Hero is bb with J 10 off. Same villian
  4. Live 3/6 game with a loose table. Villian is loose/aggro & semi tricky. He has been known to bluff at scary boards, but has also been catching cards on occasion.Hero is utg w/ Ah AdHero raises, mp2 calls, mp3 calls, c/o (villian) calls, bb callsFlop: Jh 6d 3sbb checks, hero bets, mp2 folds, mp3 calls, villian raises, bb folds, hero 3 bets, mp3 calls, villian caps, hero/mp3 callTurn: JsHero? If villian is raising with a jack, obviously I'm screwed. But he could be betting the 6 or a set. His play is hard to read since he's all over the board. I'm thinking c/c down?
  5. Yeah you're right. My mistake. I was trying to type in a hurry before I left for work and wasn't exactly thinking straight. lolI c/c down just to be safe. Turned out villian only had an Ace with a 5 kicker. Rats. I got him a few hands later when I had AK against his weak ace and he did the same thing. That time I rasied him every street. On a different subject: My currant bankroll is at $1850, built up from my original $1200. I had been on a bit of a slide lately, down about $300 or so in the last month through a combination of bad play and bad luck. Okay....mostly bad play.....My question
  6. Live 3/6 game. Table is surprizingly tight for some reason.Hero is in BB wit As 6h4 limpers to flop: Ah Qc 6dHero bets, mp1 folds, villian raises, btn folds, hero reraises, villian capsTurn: 3dHero.....?My thinking at this point is I could be up against a set, but wouldn't he wait for the turn to do the raising? Or a better 2 pair like ace-queen? He was a relative newcomer to the table, and hadn't shown down anything yet, but didn't play alot of hands. What's my line: Lead out again on the turn or c/c down? Folding is pretty much out of the question right?
  7. Live 3/6 game. Table is fairly loose preflop, but tightens up postflop for the most part, though a couple players will call down with middle pair and chase draws.Hero is MP1 w/ Qs 10s. 6 limpers to flop: 2d 10d 2hBB checks, utg checks, Hero bets MP2 calls, LP callsTurn 6sBB checks, utg checks, Hero bets, MP2 folds, LP 3 bets, BB/utg fold, hero calls.River: QdHero?Villian is on the loose side. I've seen him raise the turn with hands like 2pr, chase with a pair trying to hit the set, etc. He's about 50% success rate though, since he's been beat by top pair numerous times. But of course, he's got
  8. Live 3/6 game. Table is pretty loosish/passive. Lots of chasing going on alot of hands.Hero is bb with Qd Js6 limpers to flopJh 10h 7sHero bets, utg calls, mp1 calls, mp2 folds, lp calls, button callsTurn: 4cHero bets, utg calls, mp1 folds, button callsRiver: 9hHero....?That's about the worst river card that can hits since it completes so many different draws. What's my best line? bet/fold, check/call, check/fold?Hand #2Hero is utg w/ 10d 10sHero raises, 4 cold call(!)Flop: Kc Qc 8hHero....?I'm already scared of all the callers and a pretty whiffed flop unless you count a runner straight.....
  9. Live 2/4 ring game. Table is mostly full of older (40s-50s), loose passive players. Hero is sb w/ Jc 9c6 limpers to flopFlop: 9d Ah 5hHero checks, BB checks, EP 3 checks, MP2 bets, MP3 calls, Button callsHero.....?I'm almost postive I'm beat with the ace on the flop, and these guys love to play any ace, any posistion, and c/c down with it.But I'm getting 8-1 back to me, which gives me the right odds to take one off, but not closing the action, and anything might happen: EP3 thinks he's a pro and likes to c/r from time to time with sets.Should I have bet straight out to see where I was at? C/F
  10. Hero is BB w/ 557 limpers to flopFlop: Kh 5s 10cHero bets, mp1, mp3, lp, button callTurn: AhHero bets, mp1 folds, mps calls, lp folds, button raises, hero...?Button has been known to limp late with big pocket pairs, as he explains that "there are already enough people in, so your chances at winning are less". But he also will call down with middle and bottom pair hoping to match up.
  11. Live 2/4 10 handed. Table is full of weak players, chasing everything, but the villian is a guy who thinks he knows it all, trying to explain odds (and getting them mostly wrong) but plays all kinds of hands (any suited, weak aces), likes to bet draws, middle pairs, but wull only raises when he thinks he has the best hand. Not a total donk, but donk-like. Hero is utg w/ Ac KhHero raises, mp1, mp3, lp, BB(villian) callsFlop: 10c 9c QsBB bets, hero raises, mp2 calls, lp calls, BB callsTurn: 6hBB betsHero?I can see him betting the flop with maybe a flush draw, or a queen, but his turn bet makes m
  12. Same weak/passive table. Lots of limping going on.Hero is BB with 7 6o6 limpers to the flop.Flop: 7 7 3 Hero bets, gets 4 callersTurn: 7Hero bets, gets 4 callersRiver: AHero? Now I know I probably should've just checked/called all the way down to the river, since i flopped trips, but somewhere in my scared mind, I'm thinking someone has a 7 with a better kicker, which of course was moot after the turn. Should i have c/c the turn to make more money? I'm having trouble trying to make the tricky sneaky moves that you guys seem to do at will to get the most bets in the middle.
  13. I was playing live 2/4 at a pretty weak/passive-ish table. No one really getting jumpy unless they had bigger hands. 6or 7 to flops, usually 3 or 4 by the river. Villian in LP had just sat down a few hands prior, so no read.Hero is BB with AJo3 limpers to villian, villian raises, 3 folds behind, sb folds, hero callsFlop: 5 J 7 rainbowHero bets, 2 limpers fold, 1 limpers calls, villian raises, hero calls, limper callsTurn: 2 Hero checks, limper checks, villian bets, hero calls, limper foldsRiver: 10Hero?Am I too assume from his raise on the flop he has a over pair to my jack, since there wasn't
  14. Greetings one and all. Long time lurker, first time poster. I have now 'offically' saved up a $1300 bankroll to begin seriously playing 2/4 limit at the Potowatami Casino here in Milwaukee. I've actually been playing on and off for a couple years with about a 50/50 win loss ratio. I've read the 'bible books'--SSHE, WSSHE, TOP, Mike Caro's Tells book and a few others. But now I'm ready to make a run and see exactly what I can do. Following the advice in the books, proper money management, keeping records of my sessions, and with some advice from my fellow posters, I hope to run my bankroll up, a
