  1. now that gus has said he had dn hitting the flop, after dn said there was precisely a zero percent chance gus had him on anything other than an overpair, id be interested in hearing dn's response.
  2. [/i] do u think u would've found a way to make the maximum off this hand the way gus did? could u have checked here on the river?somehow i doubt it.many people, when they have a huge hand have a psychological need to win "a decent amount." not getting a 'decent amount' would be MUCH more psychologically damaging to them than all the missed equity they're giving up when they make the 'safe' play instead of the correct one.most people wouldnt even think of checking quads on the river. they wouldn't be able to deal with the horrifying thought that their opponent might check behind. the genius o
  3. no.i think that daniel, now having had time to think about it, would disagree with this statement today if u asked him. to all of u who think gus could make this play with a straight, u need to get a clue. great players are NOT in the habit of sticking 167k into a pot that can only get called if u are beat and NEVER EVER EVER get called when ur ahead.and gus is quite certainly a great player.to the people who think he could do it with fives full, ur a little warmer. but ur still off because ur only thinking in one dimension. ur thinking "oh yeah he could do it with 95 or 65! those are other po

  5. welcome to how real tournament pros make good livings. i guarantee u that every time a kid like this takes down a tourny like that for 200k, professional players are extremely happy. each one of these lucky donks will be playing tournys for at least another year or 2 before they finally realize that they really are dead money. thats the beautiful thing about poker. it will take kids like this literally at least a year or 2 before they realize they're not good.one of them even got lucky in 2 huge events, got a deal with full tilt, and still doesnt realize he's a donk. his name is roland de wolf
  6. why dont you all just admit that u know he's really good, and you're jealous?

  12. if ur not careful, u might end up being swallowed one of kathy liebert's 12 body fat layers.
  13. *sigh*.........i really thought everyone knew the story already........in order to keep himself fresh, chau drives a bus in his spare time. he had a feeling it was a bad decision to drive a route right after playing [pokah!] for 78 consecutive hour, but by the time he got out to see gus hansen's flattened carcass under the bus, he knew there was nothing he could do. but they were on a sidestreet, and the only way he could get off this without anyone knowing was to pay off each person that was on the bus a total of 1 million dollars. i only know this story because one of the people on that bus
