  1. Thanks for replies--Kurt especially for the link. That's enough for me to switch back to Pokerstars...F*ck the bonus dollars
  2. Super users? sorry, can you explain further?
  3. I usually laugh at those who say online poker is "rigged". I think losing players use that as an excuse for losing. However, I've become increasingly suspicious of the cash games at Ultmate Bet. I switched there to get some bonus money (excellent $650 offer) but have encountered a freakish number of bad beats....2 and 3 outers faling like crazy!Has anyone else noticed this type of thing happening on U-Bet consistenly??
  4. Someone could have higher flush, but there's to much inthe pot to fold. I'd most likely 3 bet--then I bet river if no one capped turn, if I get capped on turn I check call river. I don't hate flat calling the turn--that play might have just as much equity as 3 betting. (You get the CO call for sure and can maybe fold if another diamond falls on the river)
  5. My normal strategy is to c-bet 90% of the time--when it's heads up probably even higher. I suppose not c-betting scary flops is a good idea--but I still think the A9 has value and is likely to be the best hand on the flop against this donkey's range.
  6. I realize to never bluff, but does it amount to simply going to a show down all the time? Take this example...Fold, fold, I rasie CO (A9), button calls, SB folds, BB folds.Flop: K 10 6 (Rainbow)I bet, button callsTurn: 7Where do you go from here?
  7. A common problem I find in mid-limit 6 handed games is when a calling station is sitting directly to your left--these players seem to cold call every pre-flop raise you make, and usually call at least your continuation bet. I realize it's still good to have these guys in the game, but it's much easier when you have position on them. Any thoughts on how to play vs. calling stations/elephants out of position? I suppose tightening up your preflop raising requirements is a start...
  8. If one of the two flop callers is a pure elephant (never agress, only check-call) then maybe I'd check. However, against semi-normal players I think you can value bet here...you'd get value if opponent has a 6.
  9. No offense taken--it's nice to be able to discuss these things with knowledgable pepople. So if we deduce this guy has either (AA, KK, JJ, 1010 or 77) on the flop, then our cumulative equity against this range is very low. We are huge dogs against 4 of these hands on the flop and a huge fave against only one. I still think at some point in this hand we need to ask ourselves, "what can we beat here?
  10. Oh, my bad....I thought it was the button that bet the flop--Check rz flop not the greatest
  11. oh--my bad it was UTG +1 that bet, not the button....check raise flop not the greatest
  12. I don't hate the raise on the flop...you could concievably have the best hand and you want to find out right there if you do. However, once the cutoff cold calls your raise I'd shut it right down. You can only beat the BB if he was leading out with a flush draw or weaker queen, and the CO's cold call means AA or QQ--basically. The only flush draw CO could have had is KJ hearts--quite unlikely.
