Define safe...You're "relatively" more safe from virii, spyware, etc. then you were/are from the KAZAA/WinMX/etc. P2P nets. If not on a Mac/*nix box, virus scan everything you download. If downloading a video, and you get an executable (.exe file), throw it away. You're just as unsafe if a copyright owner hires someone to look for infringers, as BitTorrent ***currently*** doesn't have a way of hiding you.
