  1. I heard a story about Huck Seed's girlfriend storming into the Wynn a couple month's ago swinging punches at him. I guess it took a lot of security to haul her off. Then the dealer asked if he was going with her and he said something like (not a direct quote): I'm up, of course I'm staying....
  2. I for one whole-heartedly concur with the ideas behind DN"s conversation with Pollack and many of the suggestions mentioned before this. It is time for poker players to take a stand and stop the ever-growing juice increases, lack of pay for professionals, etc. Casino's, live cardrooms, and online cardrooms, across the country are making millions off the recent explosion in popularity of poker and very few players are making anything back, no offense meant towards anybody that is, more power to you :-) Now, in order to take a stand there are issues that need to be addressed, and I will proba
  3. what was the action preflop? Just you two in the hand? HOw many people at the table? Turn or river lead into flush draws? There's a lot of information here....I would have definitely raised the flop bottom set you're leaving a lot of room for 78 and qj to draw. Would you rather win a small pot with the flop reraise or lose a big one letting him catch up by the river? You don't know where you are in the hand because you didn't raise the flop, granted you raised the turn but I don't know how much was in the pot so don't know if that's a big enough raise, and thusly you didn't know if you s
  4. I would say it all depends on your skill level. The newer you are, the more mistakes you're going to make in SNG's. I would think 20-30 would be fine but as you get better and know when to tighten your game you'll find that number drop to 10-20.
  5. He was hanging out in Binion's after getting done with Poker Superstars for the night. He's been playing as low as 2/5 NL i believe which IMO is very cool of him to mingle with the locals like that. It's good for the game. One night, him, Gus Hansen, and Mike Matusow were all in Binion's. I think they're filming a new show there for Fox or something. Good to see Binion's hoping again and Moneymake having fun.
  6. Hi Jason,I hope I don't offend you or anybody with these comments as I just wish to throw in my 2 cents. Personally, I tend to play very loose aggressive. Most of the time unless you're up against a bigger pocket pair you're usually a 3:1 dog preflop at worst more often 3:2 which isn't that high. I think early on in a tournament you need to get a lot of chips to surivive in the later stages. If you wait for one or two big hands to get it all in 2 things may happen. One is that you may still get sucked out on and waste all your chips on one hand. Two, those big hands may not come or if th
  7. Hi everybody,I have been playing poker for about 10 years and have always been a big fan of Daniel's. He's one of the main reason I got into playing poker seriously. I'm not a pro, it would be nice, but I still have some things to work on. Anybody else here live in the LV area? Later.Jason
