Pokerstars Million Dollar Lamborghini Freeroll

Recommended Posts

The PokerStars Million Dollar Lamborghini Freeroll is a pretty nice promtion and I probably should have posted about it earlier. On Sun October 3rd the Grand Final will be held with a $250K prize pool and first place is a Lamborghini. You win an entry by finishing in the top 2000 in one of the Weekly Finals which are played on Sundays and have a $100K prize pool and they pay 4,000 spots. Last week's had about 7,200 entrants. You win an entry into a Weekly Final in one of the qualifiers that are running every hour. There are freeroll qualifiers with the top 18 winning a spot in a Weekly Final and you can play in up to 1 per day of those. There are also real money qualifiers where in addition to the normal prize pool you can win a spot in a Weekly Final. Every hour there is either a $1.10 or an $11.00 entry qualifer with the top 27 winning a spot in a Weekly Qualifier. If you normally play tournaments at either of those buyins these should appeal to you.I'm going to periodically offer some stakes for some of the real money qualifiers and also barrage some of them and offer some additional cash to be won for FCPers who play when we barrage so keep an eye out for my posts for when I'm organizing a barrage. Here's the link to the information about the Freeroll Series.http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/promotions...ghini-freeroll/

came in ~40th in one of the freerolls earlier this week. Not a big fan of lambos anyway:/ would probably sell it and buy a lotus elise/exige or a noble m400, since they are far better looking and more practical. just a man's dream anyway

Prizes The prize is a Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 (the “Prize”) and it is non-transferable and may not be given, assigned or sold (other than to PokerStars) within 24 months from the date it is awarded. The prize can be exchanged for a cash amount of $100,000 to be paid into the winner’s account.

I'm not sure why Stars has that restriction but maybe it also has to do with this clause.PokerStars will pay up to $50,000 (fifty thousand US dollars) towards the cost of importing and registering the Prize in the resident country of the Winner. Maybe they don't want to pay a bunch of duty and stuff for somebody to then just flip it.If I were to win I would use the $20K that I also won in the tourney to cover the insurance for two years and I would use the services of the local Lamborghini Dealership in Toronto to store it for me for two years and keep it in good running condition for that time and then I would sell it.Or I would just take $100K.

Came in 80th in the $1 tourney last night. I like the idea of the barrage, but Bob, could we announce the next one several days in advance to give other players here a chance to get in it?? Maybe like a saturday night or something? Hopefully some of the better players here will come and play along. Also maybe do a FCP prize pool, and maybe some LL side bets (as suggested above)as well??? That would make it a little more interesting.
