Poker and depression.

Recommended Posts

Do not mix. It's at least as bad as poker and alcohol. I misread a board so horribly last night that I might as well have been on drugsI guess I should add what happened. Basically, I flopped an inside straight draw, and through some enormous misfiring of neurons thought I had ???a doubled gutted straight draw???I did better tonight though. It was a very good night of poker. Mostly by virtue of having someone over value his pocket tens against my pocket aces both preflop and on the low card board.Reminds me of those commercials running during the WSOP '04 where the guy is saying "Do not gamble if you're lonely, or depressed, or you've had too much to drink" and I think he must be Bill Clinton's brother because, heck, he just looks and sounds like it, and I always laugh. But maybe he's right. At least I only fit one of the criteria last night, I know people who play poker while lonely, depressed and after having had too much to drink.
