  1. I don't mind the preflop call with the overlay from the posters.Even though the pot is large I say fold the flop.
  2. The truth is you really have to divorce yourself from the immediate results of your actions. They are irrelevant to making the best decision. Also, don't fall into the trap of assuming (not saying you neccessarily are here) that your oponents are morons and that you played the hand perfectly if you got sucked out on as well, look over the hand and analyze your play. I find being focused on the decisions you made (which you can control) verses the outcome (which you certainly can't control) helps keep me from steaming. The added benefit is that by looking over the hand you can improve your game
  3. I agree with this. However, I have a follow up question. How does your play change if there are fewer limpers? Obviously this is a raise if its folded to you in the button, but what if there was only one mid position limper, or something of that sort? Does the game texture dictate the play here?
  4. You'll bounce akishore, you're way to smart not to grow stronger from this.Keep playing and keep posting, your input is really appreciated.
  5. The trouble comes in deciding which hands are possible that aren't those case overset hands. The looser the villian is the wider the range and the lower the probabilty.
  6. Set over set is not 1/64, its more complicated than that I believe.
  7. I don't think we can protect our hand here against a flush draw. The raise is for value. If we are ahead we are well ahead, and if we are behind we have 7 outs to improve on turn and 10 to improve on the river.
  8. Just a question to the better players out there following up on this. When you're normally playing bigger games, does good game selection often make it neccessary to jump up or down stakes?
  9. Kdawg,I appreciate you taking the time to respond to my hand threads, I realize its something you don't have to do. Its nice to get advice. Its not that I don't like the opinions, it doesn't bother me if I played a hand badly and people let me know (in fact if I played it badly I want to know about it).I just found the "don't outsmart yourself" comment a bit condescending, but I was in a rotten mood when I re-read the thread and was probably just being over sensitive.
  10. -Edit-Getting angry about this stuff is almost as bad as the ego present in this forum, forget it.
  11. continuation betI thought that I had fold equity, maybe fold a Q or even a K.
  12. Is this a raise or not?Anyone?
