  1. Sorry to be a naysayer, but I think that the foul language and sexually explicit pics/avatars that've slipped through on the Forum has siginficantly increased and is often downright R or X rated.
  2. I agree, DN acted too soon in blasting the suit (in not one but two blogs). He's not talking from a position of legal knowledge and really isn't in a position to judge the merits of the case. It's pretty clear that the suit is not "baseless" and that the players have "zero shot." There is no good that can come out of DN commenting at this time. Do you really think that the 7 players are going to say "well, DN is against us, so, on second thought, we don't have a case, let's drop it." ? So, while there is no upside to him taking sides, there is downside as he is insulting them and setting
  3. The WORST one is "X-22" Quack Quack's deformed nose. Unbelievable.
  4. Nice. Such a grown-up and mature group of gentlemen on here. If you re-read the OP, you'll see that he said he was looking for "A FEW GUYS to take 10%." Even using your highly advanced common sense, a FEW = 3. NOT more than 5. So, my point still stands.
  5. Maybe I missed something - you said that you were originally hoping for a group of people to take 10% of you so that you "could play with less of" your own cash. That'd be $1k stake and $9k of your own cash. Then a guy offers to go in for 50% or $5k and you're STILL thinking that you can't afford it comfortably? I don't understand...
  6. Ram Vaswani has joined the fray too. J-dag is up to $130k as of 5pm Central. Not sure how much Ram bought in for.
  7. Great article. I think one of the things lost in all of the Poker phenomenon right now, and this is coming from someone who watches about 10-20 hours of poker on TV a week, is that it ISN'T a 'glamorous' or even 'good' lifestyle or career choice for the VAST majority of participants. Mike is a huge testament to that. Even very successful players can end up very very unhappy. They never show that side of it on TV, of course. It would actually make for some interesting TV if they did some "Nuts" type bits on those who really are down and out or who flamed out, etc. But that would wreck the i
  8. WOW, quite an insecure post & poster, esp. after the previous reply you made insinuating you weren't flaming him. As an objective outsider, may I say - "GROW UP," Royal. Not only that, you were wrong, too.
  9. Wow, I almost couldn't believe what I was reading in terms of the Bank post. Daniel, seriously, you could have replaced "Bank" and "Wells Fargo" with "FULL CONTACT POKER." It was amazing.I hope you've figured out that FCP has MUCH MORE RESTRICTIVE policies on cash outs, etc. , and is at least as frustating to deal with. For example, I made a Cash Out request on DECEMBER 10, and JUST RECEIVED the cash in my account on January 4!Have to send in a utility bill?? Not to mention all of the other amazingly arcane and selfish rules, bonuses, etc. The point is, just as frustrated as you were wit
  10. WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON???? I WANT MY CASH OUT AND THEY SENT ME AN E-MAIL ASKING FOR A COPY OF MY DRIVERS LICENSE, a COPY OF A UTILITY BILL, AND A COMPLETED VERIFICATION FORM!!!! HOLY COW. WHAT A PILE. AS I HAVE BEEN SAYING, THEY ARE THIEVES--THEY MAKE IT SO INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT TO GET YOUR MONEY OUT! IT IS UNBELIEVABLE.HOW CAN DANIEL SLEEP AT NIGHT? TALK ABOUT A MAJOR SCREW JOB.I am simply speechless.
  11. Wow, the "gotchas" just keep coming. Now they tell me you have to "play through" your deposit one time before you can withdraw ANY of it. i.e. , if you put in $100 and after 10 hands of 2/4 are up to $200 and want to withdraw $100, YOU CAN'T. Unreal. (BTW, their customer support is rotten -- "Rita" took literally 10x trying to explain the play through requirement -- and couldn't do it!)Plus, there is withdraw limit of 1 time PER WEEK (and only up to $2500) unless you want to pay a "withdrawal fee." Are you kidding me??Man, what a crock. To have DN associated with this can't be a good thi
  12. I've had a generally "great feeling" about DN and what he's stood for. Unfortunately, seeing the implementation of this site...everything from the horrible "bonus" (bordering on deceptive), to the lousy sign-up process and B- graphics... I'd have to say that my overall sentiment at this point is, "sellout." Lots of hype, little substance. I hope it changes. But, unfortunately, at this point, I have a little less love for Mr. N.
  13. Not impressed w/the graphical interface of the poker site.Overall - too busy, not clean, not enough choices.Get rid of the cup holders! How dumb -- they make it look busy and can be confused w/the Dealer button. Also, the chat stinks - no way to have a "summary with chat" like there is on PP.The rest of the graphics/animation is pretty lame.I think this was launched prematurely.
  14. Well, thumbs down for the initial impressions of the new poker site. Trying to sign up -- one problem after another. Finally get the money but when I go to "Transfer" the money to my account it said I needed to call in to verify my account. Dumb.Plus, it didn't recognize me as a charter member, even though I used same address & userid.Overall, I'm not impressed.
  15. Totally lame - in the way of players' views of others' stacks, hands, etc... Plus, it provides lousy and unhelpful shots and the image quality is lower than the other cameras. Get rid of it IMMEDIATELY.
