KowboyKoop 0
Remember what happened the last time we got into a pitching line prediction contest with Koop? As such, I refuse to participate.Lol...I was stunningly close last time. Watch this time...he'll take a no-no into the 8th...lol.
MDXS 0
Lol...I was stunningly close last time. Watch this time...he'll take a no-no into the 8th...lol.....and then give up seven runs on eight hits.
oldirtyharry 0
Yeah...I'm not confident about this one. He was our best starter last year, but I almost hate to see him back in the rotation. Hopefully he's either good again, or so bad we take him under the bleachers and shoot him in the back of the head, make Papelbon the fifth starter, and open up a spot in the bullpen for Hansen.hahaaa. Hopefully Foulke can assert himself in case we are forced into that option, although I must say I have a lot of faith in Hansens stuff. Also, I'll join the fun. 5 2/3 ip 5er 3k 2bb 2hr Come on Pokerstar, make me look stupid.

His velocity, while modest, is back to where it was and he's getting guys out. It's early, but he's not one of the guys I'm worried about. And if he sucks again, Dinardo will be the 5th starter. He's servicable, but not ideal. If he sucks, then we wish plan A worked and we got rid of Wells and kept Arroyo.
timwakefield 68
Don't forget we also have Julian Tavarez.
oldirtyharry 0
Im thinking lots of offense tonight as it is so warm. My player pick of the night is: Manny Ramirez. I know, easy pick. But he is due. Really, really due. Cheers. Lets go SOX
oldirtyharry 0
Unfortunatly, so far my prediction is right. We need Manny to hit a bomb or two asap
MDXS 0
Wells is one step closer to the glue factory. On the plus side, Wily Mo not only took two pitches, but he hit a foul home run as well.

timwakefield 68
Hey guys I just thought of this and thought I'd post about it. For Red Sox fans:I have an extra set of the 2004 playoff dvd box set. I got 2 for my birthday (I should have told my girlfriend and my parents that I asked them both for it). One set is unopened, still sealed in plastic and everything. It includes all 7 ALCS games vs the MFYs, the 4 WS games agains the Cardinals, and one disk with the MLB World Series video, and other special features (champagne celebrations, player interviews, "wired up" highlights from throughout the season, etc). So anyways, I have no need for a second set. I do, however, have a need for cashola. Anybody interested in buying it? We could discuss a price, but somewhere in the neighborhood of $75 (I believe it retails for about $90). Certainly I'll sell it for less than you can get it for elsewhere. The coolest special feature is seeing Johnny Pesky waiting in the clubhouse after they won it all, greeting every player as he comes in. Schilling doesn't see him at first, and then grabs him up in a big hug and lifts him off the ground, and Johnny Pesky starts crying. That, and watching Dave Roberts steal second base over and over and over and over. MDXS 0
Tonight should be an interesting game. Matt Clement looked very good last time out, but Ted Lilly turns into Lefty Grove the second he enters Fenway despite the fact that he's atrocious on the road. I guess his back is feeling fine because his start was temporaily pushed back earlier in the week. Unfortunately, it's back on.Wily Mo get the start again thanks to Trot's injury and the lefty pitching. He looked as good last night as he's looked bad in previous starts. I have a feeling this will be Wily's M.O. for quite a while. Leaving the home run out of it, I was just happy to see him take some pitches...even getting a walk. I can see why he hits better against lefties. He has a huge hole in his swing low and away, which is easier for righties to exploit.
MDXS 0
Ugh. Clement doesn't look nearly as good without control. Man, a five run deficit against Lilly is no good.
76clubs 0
I have to say, that i also thought that wells was gonna be really shitty the other night...but thats because i saw how bad he was pitching in AAApatheticwell, were still in first place, and im heading up to boston on saturday for the games on saturday sunday and monday! timwakefield 68
Nice! I'm going back to Boston too for Easter. Don't have tickets, but at least I can see them on tv.
timwakefield 68
Okay tonight I am making a good prediction and hopefully this time I won't be completely wrong. Game has already started, but it's still in the first.Schilling:8 IP, 5 H, 7 K, 1 BB, 0 runsedit: I was close. Final line: 8 IP, 3 H, 7 K, 0 BB, 1 run, earned.
MDXS 0
Odd to see the Sox winning a bunch of 3-1 and 2-1 games. I'll take it though.
timwakefield 68
Tough loss for the Sox today, 3-0 at home to Seattle. Wakefield gets the complete game loss. His line:9 IP, 9 H, 3 R, 2 earned, 0 BB, 6 K, 0 hr.Crisp and Nixon are injured, Varitek not catching for Wakefield, and Francona decides this would also be a good day to sit Lowell and Loretta. With a lineup of:SternCoraOrtizRamirezYouklisSnowPenaBardGonzalezit's no friggin wonder we got shut out.

Them regulars will get back though and put plenty of runs on the board.I don't get running all the scrubs out there when Wakefield's on the mound. Aside from Ortiz and Ramirez, any of those guys could have a legitamate reason to be in AAA right now (even though some of them I really like). Ugh...it's like they don't even want to win. Perhaps as the season wears on, Francona will figure out a reasonable way to rest the regulars. Right now though, we can't be giving up on every fifth game. Side note: the probability that we end up with Clemens has gone up even higher. I'm torn as a Red Sox fan, but I suppose that I want what's best for the team regardless of what has happened in the past.

MDXS 0
Why, can he hit?No, so we can win more 2-1 games.Today's matchup is a good one for the Sox. Washburn's useless and Beckett is Beckett. We already up 2-0 on an umpire-assisted "error." Even though the Red Sox benefit, I do hate to see calls that bad.
