Fcp Bonus Structure

Recommended Posts

Beginning Wednesday, March 15th Full Contact Poker will be following new network guidelines and making changes to how its bonus system works. How your current bonus clears as well as any future bonuses will be affected.New Bonus PointsThe new bonus system uses Poker Bonus Points as the method for clearing the bonus. Players earn Poker Bonus Points by playing in both ring games and in tournaments. In a ring game every player who is dealt in the hand will receive bonus points based on the amount of rake from that hand. Players will be issued .07 bonus points for every $0.10 of rake per hand. For example, if the rake in a hand is $1.00 then all the players dealt in that hand will receive .7 bonus points. The maximum number of points in any given hand is 2.1 if the rake is $3.00.In tournaments, players receive 5 bonus points for every $1 in tournament entry fees that they pay. For example if a player enters a $20 + $2 entry fee tournament they will receive 10 bonus points for that tournament. The new bonus points are different than the FCP points that players earn and use in the FCP Store and in other upcoming promotions. The FCP points haven’t changed and the new Poker Bonus Points are only used in clearing a poker bonus. How It Will WorkWhen you visit your “My Account” page you can see the amount of money that you have in your bonus account. In order to earn that bonus through poker play you will have to transfer bonus money from your cashier bonus account to your poker bonus account. When you transfer bonus money to your poker bonus account you will then have a pending bonus. To have that pending bonus become real money you’ll have to earn enough bonus points before the expiry date of the bonus to clear the entire bonus. Poker bonuses will automatically be added to your FCP poker account when you have cleared the bonus. You don’t have to transfer the entire balance that is in your bonus account to the poker bonus account at the same time. You can choose to leave some in your cashier bonus account to use in the casino or to transfer to a poker bonus at a later time. The minimum amount you can transfer to your poker bonus account is $10 US.Our current bonus-clearing rate will be 9 bonus points per dollar of bonus and our current bonuses will have a 90-day expiry period. The 90 days starts when you transfer the bonus to your poker bonus account not from the time that you were awarded bonus money in the first place. For example if you transfer $50 to your poker bonus account you’ll have to earn 450 poker bonus points within 90 days to be awarded the bonus. As we migrate all existing FCP players to this new system, players will have their entire current bonus balance available for transferring into poker bonuses immediately. If you have less than $10 US but more than zero in your bonus account balances on Wed March 15th please contact the FCP support team and we’ll bump you up to $10 so that you can transfer the minimum amount over for a poker bonus.Straightforward bonus trackingYou will be able to simply visit the “Bonus Points” section of your My Account” page to track and monitor the current status of your bonus and points, be it pending or complete, you will be able to monitor your bonus first-hand.For those of you who have already made a first deposit, you should know that a Redeposit Bonus offer is coming soon. If you have not made a first deposit at Full Contact Poker, now is a great time as the First Deposit Bonus offer is currently at 100% of your first time deposit up to $200.

I'm confused why this is better then the previous method? Wasn't the old method for every $2 raked you get $1?
See cross post here: http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...showtopic=53474Yes, the old method was for every $2 rake contributed you get $1 bonus cleared. Now, people can be a nit and fold every hand and still clear bonus while doing so.

This new structure still seems built to obfuscate what one needs to do to clear the bonus.Yes, it is good that a hand participated in earns you points (not that you pay the rake yourself.) That is how all good casinos reward their patrons (for total play, not whether you're winning or losing.)However, the rate still can be difficult to clear for 1-2 or 2-4 players. If my math is correct (and that is questionable given point #1) then you need to be in hands totalling $12.86 of rake to earn a single dollar back: .7 points / $1 of rake 9 points / .7 points = $12.85 rake to earn $1 of bonusI think this benefits 5-10 and up players in that they'll more often hit the $3 rake, and they only have to play 4+ hands to get $1 of bonus. But if you're lower than that, you end up in the 10+ hand region, which is the low end of the offers out there. As a result, I may never clear this initial deposit bonus from months ago!!! (and I'm not that inclined to try.)

I'm kind of confused by this new bonus structure. Even after reading it more than once. I never really paid alot of attention to how it was done before, I would just play and money would "unlock" out of my cashier bonus money into my cashier real money and I would transfer it to my poker account real money. Simple. So now do I have to transfer the bonus money out of my cashier account into my poker bonus money. Then it can "unlock" from there? It also sounds like if you don't "unlock" it in a certain amount of time you lose it?I thought the bonus was permenant and you could it would stay there until you unlocked it over any amount of time. If this is true and I play small limits I should move the least over a possible (10 dollars) so I don't have to clear very much quickly?Does any of this sound right or am I totally confused :club:

You seem to grasp the basic concepts. If you're a small limit or infrequent player you probably are best off to transfer $10 at a time and see how long that takes to clear. If you want me to tell you what you can expect based on your previous play you can pm me or e-mail me at info@fullcontactpoker.com and I'll give you an estimate. Don't forget to include your account information though so I can look you up.RegardsBobFCP Poker Manager

I didn't understand this before transferring. My own fault....dumb blonde :D Now I'm afraid I'll sacrifice my bonus because I moved the whole thing over and I'll probably never clear it. Can I transfer it back and start over ? Crying call, I know :club:

I like this. Make a change to the bonus structure. Disconnect the support@fullcontactpoker.com email. Don't answer the toll free lines so's anyone can ask a question about why zero bonus money accumulated in 22 hours of play. It's working out for me as a site customer. NOT.
try the on line chat, always works for me

Well I think changing the bonus system in the middle of a player trying to clear his deposit is just plain wrong. I know u have the right to make what ever changes when ever you want but this usually don't happen in good poker room I hope you understand its not the few dollars that I missed in the switch over that's not the problem the problem is the switch over it self. I fell the way it should have been handled was the people on the bonus system the way it was should have stayed that way any new people would get the new system after they cleared there deposit bonus then you could move them to the new system. Yes I know this would be more work for you but sure would have made a lot better reputation for you. While its just my opion I'm sure others share it yes I know some of you are happy with the new system and if I was done with my bonus I wound care but thats not the case and switching in the middle is just plain wrong.

I Just Deposited last night and transferred $50 of bonus money. My remaining bonus money reflects the deduction but I can't seem to find where I can track my bonus points or FCP points and my pending bonus says zero. Does it just take a while to be reflected or am I looking in the wrong place? :club:

Hi Slim, eventhough you can make the transfer through both the cashier and the "My Account" area you can only view your bonus progress through the "My Account" are of the FCP website.http://fullcontactpoker.com/poker/myAccount.php

How often is the my account page updated as far as FCP points and bonus accumulation goes? Knowing how often would sure help. Thanks
FCP Points are updated every 24 hours. Usually around 2 AM Eastern Time or so.Your bonus status is updated as you play and should only lag your play by a few minutes.Remember that the FCP points and the bonus clearing points are two different things.

I don't understand this at all. The way it is promoted on the home page which is you receive 100 % bonus on your first deposit is not exactly true. From what I understand in order to release any of my bonus I will have to invest more money.I choose this sight because the dealing is a little better then Poker Stars. But until this is properly explained to me then it is not likely that I will invest again. Sure its easy enough to say its based on how much you play But the bottom line question is how much money will I have to invest with this sight to ever see the so called bonus?I like this sight although for the most part find it very complicated because of this at present im not a happy camper.I highly reccomend that you get a better promotion as this one leaves bad thoughts.Based on what I have accumulated in points at the moment. Based on my type of play, I would have to spend another $100.00 with this site in oder to ever see the bonus money. Is this correct?

as long as you dont blow your roll, you shouldnt have to deposit any extra cash to get your bonus.
