OMG you geeks. We like Game of Thrones, that doesn't mean you have immunity. No one cares about your faggot fantasy books. If HBO spends $100 mil making it a tv show, I'll give it a go. Otherwise, gtf

If SA's goal was to make the continued topic of conversation in this thread so insufferable that I almost don't care what he spoils anymore, his law degree just paid off.

no, i can actually read.

Only six episodes for the final season, but as Hank said, there will probably be a couple 90 minuters in there. The cast is actually only paid by the episode, so it's kind of a way to save some costs.

it would be very disappointing to think HBO went cheap on what is the most popular cable television show in history. these episodes will live forever.

and yet they are doing fewer episodes than they should. they'll make all any money spent back and then so much more.

i thought the reduced episodes was because of the show runners, selfishly, not wanting to devote an entire calendar year to filming.

the night king owning is the only ending I'll truly be happy with, unless there's some sort of odd ball horrible ending I can't envision. Some shit like Jon dying heroically to save Dany and his incest baby would break my ****ing heart

One of the HBO (HBOS maybe?) has been running the series from the beginning in binges. I feel a weird kind of trollish glee that the series is almost certain to wrap up before the next book is published.

That's kind of like my ghoulish glee that Robert Jordan died before he finished the wheel of time book, only much less ghoulish. I'm not saying I wanted Robert Jordan dead or anything, but after wasting a good portion of my life reading ~6 of his increasingly long and terrible books, I can't say I was sorry to hear about his passing, particularly when it came before his pointlessly long and self indulgent series was completed.

Once the show passed him and started to do whatever it wanted, it felt like a clean break, a parallel universe. They're fully two separate entities, and only one of them is definitely going to have an ending. Hell, Winds of Winter may never come out.

I have been slowly rewatching the last couple months, and aside from the Ramsay storyline, it is a great fucking show.

I just watched season 6 episode 9 again.

That battle scene has to be right up there with the D-Day invasion one from Saving Private Ryan as the greatest one ever filmed. I can't wait to see what the battles from the final season look like.

Prediction: The starks are wargs, but only Bran (and Ayra in a way) know it. I predict Jon figures it out, takes possession of a dragon and his body dies, so he becomes that dragon, and he and Danys creepy relationship gets a little creepier still
