They haven’t picked up the suspect in that, so maybe best case scenario is it’s related and he just dumped it somewhere? Otherwise what do they do? Strip it for parts? Export it overseas? My old Chrysler Neon was stolen 3 times since they were so easy to steal (no immobilizer and you could turn on the ignition with a screw driver ) and each time the car was found within a few days dumped somewhere. Everyone votes for the guy who promises to not cut taxes or services but also reduce taxes without increasing the deficit, even though that’s probably impossible and his supposed business acumen basically amounts to inheritance and shady deals. What bugs me about Ford is how many people on my FB just said things like “they’re all liars, but at least under Ford my taxes will be lower” as if lower taxes don’t have consequences. Not many people would vote for someone who said they’d take $100M away from school repair, but somehow Ford forgot to mention it’d be one of the first things he did in office I guess. He can be a top 5 player if it works out, so good deal. It’s near impossible to acquire players like Kawhi so if the opportunity arises you just do it at whatever cost and try to sell him on playing in Toronto once he is there. Kawhi has expressed no desire to play in Toronto. Then you dump your star who loves the city. Loves the fans and has shown his commitment. This is a PR nightmare. The NBA is a joke. Demar is pissed. Agree 100% I dont mind this deal at all, as a chance to go for a true run at the finals for this year. And what did you really give up? A max contract Demar, who is probably overpaid. A pick that is protected from 1-20! And Poetl, who whatever, not the end of the world. Green can help, and Kawhi is our shot at the finals. Or else, we were going to lose to Boston/Philly in the 2nd round, and wonder what if all over again. I hate teams that manage themselves into also rans territory. Play to go as far as possible, don;t be satisfied with status quo. Take chances! This team is pretty close to blow it all up and build around its young core anyway, so lets go for it now. You still kept Siakam+OG. It was either this, or sit back and keep doing the same thing and expect different results. Good move. Now convince Kawhi to play like mad this year, and get that max deal from LA next summer. He didn’t want to play last year and injuries were used as an excuse. . Not sure how that will change overnight. They got Kawai and Green for Emar (who is a super good person and very flawed player) plus basically what they got from the Knicks when they dumped Barney on them. They have the potential of having the best defense on the floor for today's NBA at times that can switch everything. Siakim, OG, Kawai, Green and Delon Wright. Good luck scoring on the defense. If Kawai is healthy and plays like a top 10 player for one year Raptors come out ahead. If Kawai is screwed up and injured most of the year bad trade.
