The bolded part is evidently now public. I was not aware. An excerpt from the press conference during the donation pledge....   At Wednesday’s announcement, P.K. was filled with emotion as he talked

This is not the Leafs thread...we don't celebrate every little accomplishment.

Doesn't really matter though. If he creates 5 goals and costs his team 4 goals, he is still more valuable than a super shut down defenseman who never gives up a goal but who never creates a goal for e

Markov is apparently asking for 2 years $5.75 AAV (his cap hit last year) while Habs have offered 1 year $4.25 (his salary last year).

I'm watching the Feb 19, 2008 game between MTL and NYR. The Habs just scored and are now losing 5-2. They're playing well...I think they can come back.

Price started the game...his first against NYR...he was pulled after 3 goals.

Streit is playing forward for MTL.

Shanahan and Jagr are playing with NYR.

Hey Dale, im wondering how you read the following as a Habs fan...

Drouin, 22yrs old, signs 6 year deal, 5.5mill a year

Galch 23yrs old, signs 3 year deal, 4.9mill a year

Am I reading too much into it that this is a real show of faith in Drouin vs a lack of faith in Galchenyuk.

I wonder how much of it was what the team offered vs what the player wanted, but its interesting to me to see how much more money Drouin got upfront. Then again, hard to see Galch screwing it up so bad that he doesnt make it up after hes done this deal and becomes a UFA

Dubey's answer is funny, but there's some truth to it. I do agree Drouin's salary has much to do with what the Habs gave up to get him. Also, there seems to be a feeling that he's going to be a star. When it comes to Galchenyuk much of the talk has been about his inability to play center.

Galchenyuk is a comparable player to Nathan MacKinnon according to stats I saw somewhere on twitter from a stats guy. What is MacKinnon being paid?

6.3mill, for 3more years

Galchenyuk does not have the trust of the Habs I think, Off ice issues is my best guess

I have heard rumours of Beaulieu being a bad influence on him.

In case you didnt see it, its still going on this morning:

Colten Teubert tweeted:Don’t let Monday get to you @BGALLY17

reporter:Teubert and Subban were teammates on Canada at 2009 WJC. Open secret that many of his teammates referred to Subban as “Monday” as in, no one likes Mondays

Habs Twitter is raging lol

I love the argument that Gallagher spoke the truth and is captain material. Whenever I hear "captain material" I always think of Jean Beliveau. Gallagher could've simply refused to answer any questions re Subban and redirected. He was given the opportunity to say something negative about Subban and took it.

I saw one reporter, for TSN!!!...complaining that Subban did quite the over celebration for the Nashville win, for a guy who had a bad game.

His team won. He didn't play well. A true team player would celebrate the win!

So, if he were to celebrate having a good game, but his team losing, that would be acceptable? WTF is with the hate, I dont think its racism or just racism, but there is something there, and if its his fault or the other guys around him, I have no idea.
