Ok, I have a Dan gripe

Him telling me that Notre Dame’s offensive line is the best unit in college today is absurd. Not saying it’s wrong, but why can’t anyone on his staff question his source material. He claims to go dark for entire weekends, doesn’t seem like he watches a ton of sports.

Where is this info coming from. It Stu said it, dan would pounce. They need one guy to call bs. Although, someone calling bs on radio show content would be a very busy job

Just bothered me a little that he said it so matter of factly, and not one person questioned him.

  • 3 weeks later...

Annoyed by Lebby in the local hour today, shitting on Canes in just a stupid way, again confidently predicting their demise this week. When Mike Ryan finally nuts up and says “you’ve said that a few times this year and been wrong”. Dan replies “I’ve been wrong, right up until I was right.”

Such an irritating response and nobody called bs on it. Yeah, you’re a genius. Keep predicting someone will lose and say you’re right once they do. Brilliant.

Also said something on tv show where he was trying to be funny, but also talking out of the both sides of his mouth.

he was insufferable in the local hour. at a minimum, he shouldn't be allowed to discuss on field results or make predictions about college football. he literally has no idea what he's talking about, and his "they'd be better off losing a close game and always wondering/thinking about how they could have won the title" is better thanking the final four.

this is ridiculous. the program is better off NOT winning the ACC for the first time and making the final four for the first time. get the fvck out of here. total moron.

Nevermind how he exaggerates. Notre Dame’s line is the best in college football

The kid for Clemson is the fastest kid in all of college football. Nobody will be close. How can you make these blanket statements when you can’t be watching that much. Does he strike you as someone who ingests tons of film and stats? I can tell he does a little research, but settle down with the blanket statements

What he said about Frost is the kind of pseudo meta analysis he loves. He makes no real insight or comment and brings nothing new to the table but attempts to frame “you never know” as some philosophical musing on the state of leadership. He really is so full of himself and so terribly annoying.

I turned it off after the first segment and I won’t turn it back on for awhile.

I’d say that you just have your Nebraska panties in a bunch, but your analysis isn’t wrong. He does do the sweeping statements, then say he’s just asking the questions, while letting the other guys stake positions. Even though Stu never actually believes anything he says.

I watch the tv show Hq every day, but he’s being too over the top trying for every stupid joke lately. Or I’m just over it. Maybe i’ll Delete the rest of the week. It’s just Izzy co-hosting.

I will listen to the local hours because I get my billy and Mike fill

my analysis is spot on. some of the best analysis in the history of this forum.

Your consistency in always taking it one step too far is unparalleled

They need a bs detector on the show. Someone who doesn’t revere dan, doesn’t need his platform, but also with an analytics knowledge, and also some takery.

The people he brings on his show, Mina, Sarah, Izzy, Dominique, all appreciate the Dan push and seem to enjoy him. That’s cool and I respect that they are reverential on his air. He does seem to be a bit of a star maker lately. He just needs to be called stupid for his “they would be better losing to Clemson” takes and the calling for a loss every game, being absurdly wrong, and then saying “I was wrong until I was right”. Yeah, saying someone will die every day and on the final day boasting about being right is just effing stupid

I would also call him out on how much football he takes in, after he proclaims that x is the best/fastest he’s seen all year, in decades or whatever.

it rankles me something fierce how everything lately is the best dan's ever seen. best o'line ever last year was the cowboys now its the eagles. rodgers is the best ever. lebron is the best ever. if stu said all that dan would say he has no perspective.

I mostly agree, except on some of the individual player stuff. There has never been anything like Lebron

Jordan couldn’t guard all 5 spots if he had to. Lebron kinda can. Plus he’s a machine.

I love Rodgers, but after watching Brady last week, it’s amazing what he does. That offense works because he gets the ball exactly where it has to be when it has to be there. Just perfect placement.

dan being tough guy, defender of Miami fans is hilarious. the months leading up to it he doesn't give two shits and all of a sudden he's enraged about this. fraud. and that fraud doesn't even get into his illogical ramblings about the team and these moves.

I don’t know about all of that, but I usually only listen to the local hours now, and both this week have been awful.

I might need to find something else to listen to. But I hate everything and everyone

I actually love it when Dan is emotional. It shows how genuine and loyal he is to his friends. I've really enjoyed this weeks' shows. (However, I didn't listen to the local hour either day)

Disagree. Strongly.

He was his friend. Why should he not be concerned and empathic?

Essay has neither friends nor empathy. I hope you can see where the disconnect happens
