Been toying around some more about what I think my roster may look like over the next few years, focusing on next season, and what I'll look like going into the auction.   It's very likely that I'm

Dale, a smart rule to go by in negotiations is to offer the other party what they do not have.   Based on his write up above, I would suggest a good starting point would be to offer Zach a years sup

we all do. even the professionals get it wrong.   Id much rather be the type of person who gets it right+wrong, then the ones who just dont do anything unless its a totally obvious move, or just are

I have basically my best lineup going tonight and I'm not all that happy with it. Based on 16/17 scoring, this lineup yields and expected 2.857 points.

Forwards:

Kuznetsov

Toffoli

MacKinnon

Stone

Palat

Hertl

Pretty good, could use MacKinnon and Hertl to take that next step into 30 goal/70 point-territory if I want a chance to win this year.

Defense:

Keith

Suter

Green

Dumba

Hopefully Dumba progresses into a 10 goal/40-point d-man, and Green rebounds from last year. Keith just needs to stay atop his game for two more seasons, and a repeat from last year for Suter would be just fine.

Goaltending:

Colorado

The Preds are my best set, but they're depleted and playing against the (also depleted) Penguins on the second half of a back to back, so rolling with the Avs. My goalies are pretty mediocre in general. A surprise out of a team like Colorado would be a big boost this season.

Oooooh, Ryan "Not Torey Krug" Sproul has been instructed to find a place in Detroit... looks like that trade is finally starting to pay off for me. I think I'm going to summon him for tomorrow's game as my 4th d-man - last chance to get him in before the farm trials are over.

Now I just need to decide which two of these forwards I should play:

Jimmy Vesey (vs TBL)

Teuvo Teravainen (vs PHI)

Sam Bennett (vs WSH)

A case could be made for any or all of forwards Jimmy Vesey, Viktor Arvidsson, Sam Bennett, and Teuvo Teravainen to make the main roster, but all four have been returned to the farm team, along with defenseman Ryan Sproul.

In the case of Bennett and Teravainen, it is very much a cap crunch issue as their "free" season will be needed next year. Both are $3.00 are likely to be Toews rule call ups next fall.

Hey buddy..

I know we share Boone Jenner..Whats the deal here?

Is it because I made him my franchise player?

Is Trots not letting him play his game?

Lets hope he turns it around.

Well, franchise player was a bad move, lol. But I'm the guy paying MacKinnon $15.00 in the final year of his deal, so wtf do I know. Just feels like Jenner didn't have the pedigree to be that kind of player. 30 goals was a surprise. Though I assumed he'd match it a couple more times. Feels more like an emotional leader who scores 50 points for most of his career.

The Jackets are weird. Tortarella sucks it hard, for one. I looked at their lines earlier, and it's funny... tell me what order you think these are... ie, which is line 1?

Matt Calvert - Brandon Dubinsky - Josh Anderson

Boone Jenner - William Karlsson - Cam Atkinson

Brandon Saad - Alexander Wennberg - Nick Foligno

Scott Hartnell - Lukas Sedlak - Sam Gagner

Pick 6 for Saturday:

Mark Stone (0.912) vs ARI

Nathan MacKinnon (0.765) at NSH

Jason Zucker (0.750) at WSH

Evgeny Kuznetsov (0.625) vs MIN

Teuvo Teravainen (0.618) at BUF

Tyler Toffoli (0.553) vs Florida

Viktor Arvidsson (0.528) vs COL

Look at how unsustainably well my forwards have been playing this year. Is Teravainen finally making the leap into consistent 0.500 territory? MacKinnon returned to franchise player level? How long til they all fall off a cliff? Lol

Oh right. But you have him in he FCHL right? That's where the mental connection formed.

true, I do.

Jay always piggybacks on my great FCHL picks,(Stone, Trocheck....) and the ones he doesn't get to before I can pick them in the AHL, he acquires off me in a trade.(Pasternak, Strome, Tatar...)

Puck Warfare= poor mans Whalers

Ya but Keith was good for a couple years at least when I had zero defensemen and my forwards were ostensibly strong. Scheifele was never supposed to be a 70-80 pt forward.

That trade I had the option of keeping him or Stone. I kept Stone because I had Stanford (????) But Stone has been basically as productive.

I can’t beleive Collberg bombed. Bozon, ok. He had potential but then almost died from meningitis.

My whole 2012 draft sucked. Hudon and Dumba the only players I have left? Reilly got me Hertl and Scheifele though.
