Daniel,I am a amateur poker player from Florida. I am looking for a poker playing destination trip in November or December. I was thinking about Southern Europe or south America to play some EPT or LAPT events. In your opinion, what are the must hit spots? Thanks for taking the time. Johnny
So many great spots man, really depends on your bankroll and what not... some places in Europe are expensive...

Age 17 for both. I just seem to have been really lucky with that hand when I'm running bluffs with it I seem to flop two pair or better A LOT!

Average player by definition would be 9-1. Above average player probably not any better than 4.5-1.

Do you back anyone? Do you think there is decent money to be made from backing players? Do you ever buy pieces of players?Estimate your ROI in EPT Monte Carlo €25k/€100kEstimate your ROI in WSOP MEIf

Daniel just to bring out the stat geek in you: How do you feel about the win stats available to pokerfans and players? For example, you go to hendon mob and see someone like Mike Matusow made x amount playing tournaments and your first thought is 'Wow, if someone like Mike can make x amount in a tournament it must be really easy right?' :club: They're very deceptive numbers to me, what do you think? To make them less deceptive and frankly more accurate, I would suggest they include more ROI numbers and factor in the loss of buy-ins, hotels, travel etc. especially if you add in all of the massive buy-ins that have been popping up everywhere for the past few years. Do you think these more "personal stats" should remain off limits a la cash game wins and losses or should they be made available somehow? My main point is that a majority of tournament players have not actually earned (or at least held onto) these 8,9,10million dollars in "tournament winnings" that they're being given credit for (unless they've had an all-star sponsor like pokerstars.com LOL). In lamens terms Michael Mizrachi won like 3 million at the WSOP a couple of years ago. He was staked by Patrik Atonius but all of the "tournament earnings" are credited to Mizrachi. I could be splitting hairs but I think a new stats list and newly adjusted all-time money list (one based on ROI) would be good for the transparency of poker. It's also possible that more "transparency" would lead to scaring away customers. Just food for thought.BTW thanks for doing this thread its pretty fckin legit man.
Problem is, it's impossible to track all the things you mentioned accurately. Having said that, PokerStars introduced a new "Live Tournament Card" that will allow for Stars to track ALL results and buyins for all events sponsored by PokerStars which at this point is a large majority obviously... I think that's great and will help make for better ranking systems

The guy who gets two aces would just go all in every time. You have to wait till whatever you want to make a stand with, and get lucky each time.So of course the guy with 2 aces has the edge on you.
WRONG. Run it and you will see 358T is a favorite over just AA

Hi, Daniel. Writing to you from Moldova. Want to say you are the great player and great showman.Have couple of question for you.1. Saw many times saw question "Did you ever been in Romania?" but never saw the answer, if its not bother can I get an answer?YES2. To make a big winning, became a pro poker player need to win a big tournaments, not to gamble at the cash. How you think, how many buy-ins for the tournament I need to stars career? Not true, the best way to build a bankroll is to grind cash games3. What advice do you can offer to a guy who lost couple of entire bankrolls? Stop trying or keep goind?Try www.pokervt.com4. How to control your feeling when you playing a freeroll(big one) ONLY for fun and you are very good at it but you are busted just before final table, BUT the guy who in BB not calling 1k more, when blinds are 4k/8k, small bling allin - 9k? I dont now how deep his run was, left the club with... doh...LOL say what???5. Not meant to be a flame.Just out of curiosity, if you had zero income outside of actually playing poker, would your lifestyle be much different. This would include having to have noone back your turney buyins or travel expenses.

Would a Omaha simulation be accurate when talking holdem rules since you have to use 2 cards in Omaha. I don't know the answer but I would think that having 4 one card situations would add to the 4 card hand's relative value.

As the king of fantasy betting can you get stars to run some sort of fantasy WSOP league thing? FTP used to have one but I'm sure it can be improved on. I need something I can enter in the summer, beat my friends at and then berate them.

I thought it was a hold'em match, and not omaha? If it's hold'em, AA would be beaten by that hand

You are not denying fact that to become a PRO, to live and having fun from poker earning is to win big tournaments, but the fact that to build a bankroll is the best way to grind I didnt know it. Thx.

I don't feel that normal cash games gives me any, since i go up and down and up, basicly stays in same cash level, i think any way that you go + will be the right way, zoom cash or tournament if u get close or to the final tables, zoom is now my way.

Many years ago you played $500/1000 limit holdem heads up matches on FCP, you played some epic matches with a player calling themselves 'dreamclown' I remember you would post on this forum talking about the player actually being a small group of young players so my question is did any of them go on to be mainstream/known players or did they burn out/ go busto? Was it Tom Dwan, Phil Galfond and Andrew Robl? cheersJust listened to your videoblogs on youtube, I'm with you about twoplustwo so i'm posting here from now on. I got my first ever 20 infraction points a few months ago from 'professionalpoker' on twoplustwo for quoting some dudes spam in the post below his. Getting infraction points after posting there for years infraction free pff...I'm a 30 year old man for christ sake as you can tell by my post count here i dont like cluttering up threads with un-necessary spam. I will never post again on twoplustwo :club:

When was the last time you made a deal near the end of a big tourney? And do you ever sell any of your action, or simply bankroll yourself for every big event? Thanks!

Daniel I really respect your opinion so I am curious how you would answer this question. I have a guy that wants to bet me on cashing in the WSOP $1k event. Let's say 3300 entries and 330 get paid. What would you say are the odds for a average player and above avg player cashing? He was offering 3.5-1 and I told him 10-1 would be more in the range and I felt I was still taking the worst of it. Thanks
