NYR has to be the favourite based on their regulation season, but they certainly looked vulnerable against Ottawa. As always, it'll come down to Lundqvist I guess. Washington has the scoring (usually), and if Holtby continues channeling Jim Carey, they can beat anyone. Philly might be tired and hungover from beating Pittsburgh, and they can't keep giving up 5 goals a game. Was their offense that good, or Pittsburgh's D/Goaltending that bad? They beat the favourite, so are they the new favourite?I don't think NJ really has a chance to win two series, so they don't get a write-up.Bet365 has the Rangers and Flyers at 2.7, and the Devils and Capitals at 5.75. Chicago had its holes, but Phoenix looked good knocking them off as well. Any team that doesn't defend exceptional well won't have a chance, so it may come down to the team that is able to get some offensive momentum.Seems like an odd thing to predict given the teams are very similar, but I have a feeling neither Western series goes 7 games, and they could both be over in 5.bet365 has the Predators at 2.85, which I think is very aggressive, Blues at 3, Kings at 4 and Coyotes at 6.5. I'm rooting for the East.Philly over JerseyNashville over PhoenixThe others I'm not sure.LA beat Vancouver without one Sedin for a few games. Quick was great.St. Louis beat San Jose easily but I think San Jose did some of that for them. Maybe no one will figure them out and they'll dominate everyone.Nashville did add a lot of "playoff bodies" so I think they've got the best chance in the west.Philly / Giroux showed what they were all about against the Pens. I think they toast New Jersey and await the banged up winner of the other series.New York barely hung on against Ottawa. Maybe it was just a matchup thing. Maybe Ottawa just came out so hard and New York was just happy to squeak by. Hank will probably decide the series.Washington surprised a lot of people. Maybe Boston's season was too long with last year and drama from this year and they were banged up prior to the playoffs.
