FCP Bob 1,312
The one deal that has me scratching my head a bit is Denver trading away Nene for McGee
DJ Vu 176
The ending to the Syracuse game was pretty gross. Edit: "Hosed" and "Tim Donaghy" are trending on Twitter.Marc Stein is saying that the Nene deal was to create room to sign Wilson Chandler long-term.
FCP Bob 1,312
Marc Stein is saying that the Nene deal was to create room to sign Wilson Chandler long-term.Hmm, some of the buzz here in Toronto is that after trading Barbosa the Raptors are going to sign Chandler to an offer sheet since they have a lot of cap room now. CaneBrain 95
The Heat just never make any sense to me. Does this hurt D-Rose's MVP chances? The Bulls beat the Heat without him? They mail in games all the time. It's both immensely frustrating and also ultimately meaningless.

DJ Vu 176
Random Observations:Why are people making such a big deal about Brittney Griner dunking? First of all, she's 6' 8" for fuck's sake. Second of all, congratulations on doing something that 90% of men's college players can do? They're not trying to frame this as a reason to watch women's basketball, right? If anything, it highlights in big, bold letters why people will never watch. Because apparently it's Top Ten Play Worthy when it happens, so they're emphasizing just how exceedingly rare it is.Remember when ESPN made Blake Griffin the 10th best player in the league? That seemed a little premature then and I think he's going backwards. There was a time when people actually said they wouldn't trade him for Dwight Howard. Meanwhile...Kevin Love...how high up on the rankings is he now? MIA/OKC would be an incredible Finals, I think. So much star power. I don't know what the deal is with this Miami team though. I don't understand how they have so many games where they just look flat. Their defense is like a big blitzing NFL team. High risk, high reward. They try to force turnovers, but give up a bunch of 3's. Their offense has really slowed down from the beginning of the season when they were supposed to be borrowing heavily from Oregon's blur offense. The Spurs sat Duncan the other day. The officially listed reason was "DNP - Old."
FCP Bob 1,312
Griffin is massively overrated. Plus they had to cheat for him to win the dunk contest. Love should get some MVP votes this year.I laughed at the Duncan - Old DNP line
