BillyPilgrim 1
yeah speedz, are they properly concerned about your soul being on a one-way trip to hell?
Napa_Don 688
My roommate got a dehydrator for Christmas and he's got the first batch of beef jerky cooking now. It has really good reviews on amazon and if it does work out well then this might be a game changer. Pretty excited for this first batch.
speedz99 145
Are they just your standard non-religious family? Do they know you're screwing? Are they the standard "go to church twice a year christians" that don't care that you guys are screwing?Standard non-religious christians (catholic, maybe). Apparently the annual tradition is to plan to go to church and then realize at the last second that there's something better to do. Pretty sure they know we're not saving ourselves. Do they think anything about your Jewness? Did anyone ever bring it up?It was joked about many times...they're actually very funny for non-jews. Her cousins wrote "Happy Hanukkah, Jewz!" on the kitchen whiteboard, their mother freaked out because she thought I must have been offended, and a good time was had by all when making fun of the mother because clearly I thought it was funny.Did anyone mention anything about Christmas and then quickly think twice about it and give you a sheepish glance? On Christmas, while I was there for Christmas, did they mention anything about Christmas and then feel guilty about it?Really, I'd tell you guys more, but I probably shouldn't be telling all kinds of stories about her family on the internets. Which is a shame, there was some good stuff. yeah speedz, are they properly concerned about your soul being on a one-way trip to hell?Completely improperly unconcerned. vbnautilus 48
Yeah I'm with my wife's christian family for christmas. They went to church christmas morning (w/o my wife). Now that we have a kid there was a small concern they might try to get her to participate, but they didn't.

Sickinfo2 291
yesterday she proceeded to set the oven on fire, with nothing in it.Oh, I know all about fires...We just tell unsuspecting guests that the dish is "smoked"That excuse works well on most items like ham, turkey, chicken, etc...What really raises eyebrows is when the coleslaw and deserts come out with the identical "flavoring"We as a family are accustomed to it, though... after years of eating her breakfast I still slip up and order hashblacks in commercial establishments......and the kid spent many a school day afternoon in the principals office for heading to the cafeteria instead of outside during fire drills

Napa_Don 688
Just go lick the sap off of a pine tree. Seems to taste about the same as gin to me. Just put my first batch of jerky in the dehydrator. Going to be a long six hours. The batch my roommate made last night was really good.
ShakeZuma 585
don't worry napa, when you get older you'll understand.
Dread Aidan 8
don't worry napa, when you get older you'll understand.Yeah, I used to think those six hours waiting for jerky were the worst, but now that I'm older I realize it's the six hours waiting for gin to distill. How about that post, Shake? Did that one make sense?

Her cousins wrote "Happy Hanukkah, Jewz!" on the kitchen whiteboard, their mother freaked out because she thought I must have been offended, and a good time was had by all when making fun of the mother because clearly I thought it was funny. It's funny because he is illiterate.I find there to be a bigger jump in noticable quality from $10 to $25 than from $25 to $100.To jump up from the 20ish dollar range, you really have to know what you are buying, because there is a lot smugness by wineries that they can sell shit wine for a lot, just because. Some has to do on quantity produced. If they produce 60 cases, but it's not good wine, it's just going to cost more.probably gonna need to get me another bottle of gin today. been on tanqueray to start but thinking about switching it up for variety. anybody have any recommendations?maybe I'll get some other type of liquor too! JubilantLankyLad 1,957
Sapphire is okay but is basically tasteless after Tanqueray. You should just get some Number 10 if you want to switch it up.
