I like Kevin, but he is starting to get too much airtimeI actually loved Spader and how he interacted with Dwight. I think Andy is going to get the job since he seems to be the most deserving. He deserves some justice since he does a good job but is overlooked all of the time.I think Oscar would be the best manager although I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be considered because he is accounting not sales. The whole Erin/Andy thing got old two seasons ago. Nice season ending cliffhanger with their relationship being up in the air... again.

Holy hell that SNL dude's imitation of Ricky Gervis is seriously incredible.

It's been, like, one episode since his storyline was about the fact that he's the worst salesperson in the office.

Creed as manager was hilarious. Finale was okay, but I was actually a little disappointed with all the guest stars. Most of them were just cameos, and they were advertising it all week with "Ricky Gervais, and even Jim Carey!" Each of those two had about 6 seconds of screen time. I thought they should have done more with all the stars they got, but mostly I miss Michael. On the one hand I feel like Daryl should or might get the job, but on the other hand they kind of need somebody to fill the Steve Carell void, so I'm expecting somebody new next season. Could be Catherine Tate, and she was funny, but it didn't seem like any of the guest stars were gonna get the job.

Huh, what about him saving D'angelo in that meeting? I don't recall him ever being mentioned as the worst, maybe I missed that part.

In "Goodbye Michael", Michael gave Andy all of his top clients...and Andy freaked out about how he was going to lose them all. The other salespeople seemed to agree with Andy's assessment (or were at least really jealous).I also hope that Andy gets it, though I noticed they had his temper re-appear a bit in this episode. And, I still hope that Erin and Andy get together...Erin's pretty ridiculously sweet/strange.

I thought this was the funniest and best episode I've seen in a while. My favorite parts were the Spader segments, especially his "soul read" of Dwight. I'd actually like to see Spader come back and get the job, a slightly more serious, deadpan personality (aside from Dwight of course) might do the office well. Plus those 2 going back and forth at each other would be super funny.I agree with wakefield, Creed as Manager was great!2 seconds of Jim Carrey at the end... not enough for me.

Based on the interviews, it didn't seem like it could be either of them.
I would put money on it being one of them because they have been discussing them both for a couple months now. I read one thing awhile back that said they will not be promoting anyone currently on the Office to the position and will bring in another actor to take over. They said last week they really want Tate but she just started a big play in London alongside David Tennant that might cause conflicts in taping.

I think this is the only way I would look forward to next season. Spader's awesome. I don't know if Tate would be so happy living in the US--I think she has some anxiety/depression issues, and I don't know if a big move like that (either uprooting her family, or living separate from them) would do anything good for her.

Finally caught up after watching all of season 7 over the weekend.I'll agree with anyone that says the show isn't as funny as it used to be, but I still think it has it's moments, and I'm sure I'll continue to watch next season.I think this was my favorite moment from this season...

The cold open tonight was definitely one of the funniest they've ever done. Episode overall was pretty good.
Just shows how much we've been missing the Jim/Dwight prank thing. But agreed.
Also Catherine Tate was just awesome. I kind of wish she had been the one to become branch manager now.

Well it looks like she'll have a recurring role for at least a few more episodes. And yeah, she was great.-----------------Creed: It's so peaceful, I've already written like twelve plays today.

Really enjoyed the past couple of weeks. I was surprised to read bad reviews of them, because I laughed quite a bit.
The Florida storyline has been awesome. I didn't realize people were giving them bad reviews, I've found the last two weeks to be the funniest they've done in a long time.

Anyone catch the season premiere? I thought it was really good. Final season, so it'll be interesting to see how they wrap it up. I think the obvious (and fine by me) choice would be a season finale where they travel to Colorado for Michael and Holly's wedding.

There were some good individual moments, like Creed at the end, but overall that was really bad. Office seems like a former championship team that's just lost too many key pieces to retirement or trade.

Someone tweeted about the open of the season premier being awful and in poor taste. Something about I turtle.

I quit the show 5 eps into the post Michael era

Yeah, they repeated killed a turtle for "laughs". It was the highlight of the episode.

Yeah I thought it was lame also. They killed the Dwight/Angela baby storyline in like 5 seconds. We learned that Jim doesn't want to be stuck at Dunder Mifflin forever (which has been his storyline since season 1). Just a crap show now with crappy writing.

I'm still watching though. I'm too invested.

My roommate and I had a bet on whether the baby would be Angela's husband's, Dwight's, or another party. We bet $20. I got Angela's husband, Dwight was a push, and my roommate took the field.
