CaneBrain 95
so i hung with one of my best friends from high school last night who is a really successful orthopedic surgeon in cleveland and has worked at the clinic and with sports teams and used to be a really good high school basketball player and here's what he told me he was told by the Cavs doctor about game 5 in Boston - take it for what you willif you remember JJ Hickson started most of the season and then after the Cavs picked up Jamison he barely played a minute in the Chicago seriesaccording to my friend - During the Boston series Lebron and Mike Brown were at each others throats constantly because Lebron wanted Hickson on the courtfinally at some point Shaq stood up and told Lebron that he should stop disrespecting the coach at which point - Game 5 - Lebron's reaction was F it we'll see who's more important and how well you all do without meconfirmation that Lebron is smarter than Mike Brown.also, **** Shaq. Guy disrespected SVG in Miami so badly Riley had to step in.

CaneBrain 95
lol replace KeithCrime with CaneBrain as the new home town LeBron apologist/defender nah, I only defend Lebron the personnel guy there. He was right, they should have played Hickson, Brown is a moron. However, pulling a Kobe in response to losing the argument is not cool and if he did that it was stupid and foolish. Luckily, in Miami he will probably get a lineup more to his liking.

BigDMcGee 3,352
I think it's about time this thread got bumped. Lebron has scored 30 points in 5 straight games, while shooting over 60 percent from the field. That's ridiculous He has the best scoring percentage in the paint since Shaq in like 2001 I believe. His outside shot and his post have improved to the point where it's shocking how good he is. I wish Jadaki still posted on here, because I would really like to shove Lebron's dong in his face. brvheart 1,752
During the game they said that he has made 50 of his last 68 shots. Is that good?

He used to settle for long range jump shots at times which is exactly what the defense wants but the games I've been watching this year he seems to be doing that a lot less. He might be playing as well or better than any player ever has right now.
brvheart 1,752
LeBron is the best ever. No player has ever played as well as he is right now. Back when MJ was around I remember people talking about how we will never see anyone this good again. It's kind of crazy that we've see an improvement on MJ in less than 10 years after he retired. That being said, I won't be caught in that trap again. We will eventually see someone better than Lebron, it's just a matter of how long it will be.
Whiskers 680
I think Lebron is too focused on FG%.
brvheart 1,752
I'm not sure if you're joking, but do you think he's passing up too many good looks in favor of driving to the basket... or what are you saying?

If I guy holds on to the ball or makes sure that he releases it after time has run out he's protecting his stats.
Whiskers 680
I'm not sure if you're joking, but do you think he's passing up too many good looks in favor of driving to the basket... or what are you saying? Well, it's not that, because that makes no sense. He should drive to the basket all the time because he's almost totally unstoppable. In poker it would be like avoiding flips all the time even when you have the best of it. There are stories of Lebron going to the stat sheet after games solely to check if he was over 50% on the game. He looks very selectively aggressive right now and I think it's because he's protecting his %. Would you rather have Lebron go 10-14 and score 30 points or 19-35 and score 50? There was one moment in particular in yesterday's game where he caught the ball on the wing and the defense was out of position. He could've easily taken a couple dribbles in and had a short-range jumper. Instead he swung it to Chalmers on the other wing. If Lebron moves in there the entire defense has to react. Swinging it to Chalmers (even if it looks like an unselfish play) gives the defense a chance to reset. Don't get me wrong, I still think he's clearly the best player on the planet. He's scary good. I just think he's leaving value on the table. Which might be even scarier.

BigDMcGee 3,352
Just listened to the Stein/Bucher BS report and Rick Bucher's continuing indefensible hate of Lebron James is such a pleasure to listen to. all the criticisms that he used to have of Lebron, IE that he never worked on his post game are gone, and he has to resort to things like " I think all he cares about is money, he doesn't care about championships" Ignoring the fact, of course, that he left 10's of Millions on the table to go to Miami. There's no future in hating, Rick.
