He felt that if they had a child, she would be more committed to him. The child would serve to strenghten their union. BUT HE WAS WRONG.

True dat
I cannot read a post of yours without imagining you sitting in your basement (dungeon) with a wizards robe and hat on eating a turkey leg and drinking wine out of a big wooden cup.

And all this time I thought he just didn't want a fat bride

Sam Roshenthal the man the Deniro charachter was based on dies a couple weeks back. Turns out he was a government informant all along.
Classic case of the man using a death to try and scare us into making a mistake.Ace a rat? I DONT BELIEVE IT.

He married a WHORE so fair to say his judgement may be a little suspect.
From what I heard, he sang to the feds, as his "golden parachute" for if ( more like when) things went south. HE apparently gave the FBI all the inside goods on what happened at the stardust.

One thing that always kinda amused me about Rosenthals website-So, here's a guy who knows 'old Vegas' as well (if not better) than anyone. In his "Top 5 Sharpies and Wiseguys", three are 'legendary' poker players- Chip Reese, Doyle and Billy Baxter. The old Vegas stories about those guys being basically dishonest dirtbags are everywhere, but today, they're beatified as heroes or dignified idols worth looking up to (when in reality, they're nothing more than degenerate scum who just happened to 'get there first') yet there's old Leftys website, giving an unapologetic, very public wink at their past.

I thought the same thing, and you're like the only guy I've seen on these forums who I've acknowledge what has to be the truth... that if these guys came up in vegas in that era, and were successful, they were cheats. Period.

I assume that like me, you would have done the same thing.
