WKTSWAY 0
Here is a cynical question. What makes you think they wont fuck those picks up, if they got them? At least if they stay at 5, the quality of player left will make it less likely he will be a bust.If they don't trade down or have OT Long available, they almost have to reach for the next best OT. Just because they pick that guy at 5 doesn't mean it's less likely to be a bad pick. It would be too high for him, but they would almost have no choice because they need help on the O-Line that bad. I think they need to take the best available player if a trade is not available. They cannot take the next best OT if he doesnt belong at the 5 spot.
TRB05 1
I disagree. I think they need to take the best available player if a trade is not available. They cannot take the next best OT if he doesnt belong at the 5 spot.I agree with you here, the OT position is deep this year, and I think the caliber of player at 36 is going to be pretty comparable to whoever they would be reaching for at 5. That's mainly why I think trading down is a good option, because OT is so deep.Edit: SuitedAces, I want to thank your Huskers for ending a miserable basketball season for my Tigers tonight. SuitedAces21 2,722
Edit: SuitedAces, I want to thank your Huskers for ending a miserable basketball season for my Tigers tonight.Christ that was awful to watch. Two terrible teams. I absolutely despise mizzou though, so Im happy with the outcome. Now to watch KU beat the hell out of the huskers tommorow.

TRB05 1
Apparantly Jared Allen is shopping himself around for a possible trade. It seems as though most fans are upset about it around KC, and I understand their frustration but I really don't mind. If the Chiefs don't trade him, and he plays this year, then refuses to re-sign (I think this is his last year, yes?), then they won't get anything for him anyway, so might as well get some quality draft picks for him. Carl must really be an asshole.
LeroyBrown 0
Carl must really be an asshole.Chiefs are gonna lose one of the top DE's in the league becuase of that assclown. It just keeps getting worse.
freak2304 0
Yep. No more calf roping celebrations in KC. Hopefully the picks they acquired for him end up paying off, for a change. I'm new to this thread, so I'm not sure if this has been discussed or not, but what's everyone's thoughts on Croyle as QB? I know he's still young, but imo we already need to go in another direction. He's DEFINATELY not the future of this franchise....at least to me.Edit: Ok, I just read through the 1st page so I'm all caught up now. I agree with the poster who said Croyle is a 2nd-rate SEC QB. As a big Florida Gator football fan, I've watched alot of SEC football over the past 10-12 years and he didn't impress me in college. His wife is major hot in her local car dealership commercials, so keep him around as a back-up.
SuitedAces21 2,722
Im in a hopeful mood today, so I'll say that getting a first and two thirds for J Allen could turn out well. But then again, with king carl drafting, two of those three picks will be busts.

Matt Ryan? Trade down and try to get Ryan Clady around 10ish?

Trade down and try to get Ryan Clady around 10ish?I'm starting to really think that Matt Ryan is going to be the pick if he's there, and then and OT/DE at 17, OT/CB/DE at 35. I wouldn't be really disappointed if they did trade down to get the 2nd best OT at "10ish," although the hot talk is that the Ravens at #8 are the most likely to want to trade up.I am OK with the Allen trade, in fact I think the Chiefs got way the better side with 3 top 85 picks. And so on with each pick down the way.
freak2304 0
I see one of the popular "mock draft" picks is for us to trade w/ New Orleans for their 10th pick and a 2nd or 3rd, I believe, and take the Clady kid out of Boise St. at 10. -shrug-

TRB05 1
According to a local radio show today, bodog's draft odds say that the favorite to be picked by the Chiefs is Chris Long DE.Chris Long 2/3 Vernon Gholston 5/4 Branden Albert 7/2 Ryan Clady 4/1 Field 13/4 BODOG DRAFT LINESThat would be OK with me. CaneBrain 95
Getting Dorsey and Albert is a hell of a first round by the Chiefs. Best player in the draft and a very solid o-line piece who can play multiple positions (always a huge plus).

SuitedAces21 2,722
Dorsey and Albert are good picks, as of now.But the B Flowers pick, in my opinion, was a bad one. They need a corner, but I think they reached for him at 35.

TRB05 1
You guys may be correct that Flowers is not the best overall CB, but for the Chiefs system, I think he is the perfect fit, and I don't think they reached at all seeing as Flowers was projected by most to go late 1st early 2nd.A-minus so far. SuitedAces21 2,722
I just got home and saw that they took a RB (Jamaal Charles - a good player) with their first pick of the third round. Without having looked at who else was available, can someone explain to me, why in the name jesus christ himself they took a RB in the third round?
