If I were wrong, I wouldn't waste my time with people who are hostile toward the gospel. The fact is that I have a relationship with the Lord and know Him personally. That's like telling you that your mother doesn't exist. Are you willing to believe that your mother isn't real, but that you just can't think for yourself?
Next time you talk to the Big Guy as him what he thinks will happen at the end of "Lost". Just curious.

that's not what i asked. i asked if you are honestly capable of even allowing for the possibility that you could be wrong. are you able to take a mentally neutral position and objectively consider that possibility.

historically and continuing today there have been countless other supposed metaphysical entities that people were convinced they had "personal relationships" with. on what basis do you think every one of them are delusions (as you necessarily must by default) and your relationship with a metaphysical entity is not? on what basis have you concluded that you're immune to this type of delusion when most of the rest of humanity is apparently quite prone to it?

it's nothing like telling you your mother doesn't exist. unlike god your mother is for practical purposes objectively verifiable to anyone.

If they explore the evidence objectively, they WILL have to come to the conclusion that the bible is true and that the God of the bible is the true God.
considering that the majority of people who have ever lived including those alive today have rejected biblical christianity for one reason or another, that sounds more than a little egocentric. why do you have such a high opinion of your own ability to determine what is absolute truth?

How can he consider possibly being wrong if he is having actual discussions with the Lord that are no different than me and you talking on the phone?I see where you are going and agree with it but it is clear this guy is on a totally different level.

Until I just looked it up now, I didn't realize this was the name of the MST3K robot.I always read crow's screen name as Crow Trobot.I didn't really know what that meant.
repent sinner and watch 100 straight hours of MST3k as penance!

I not only did recognize this screen name, I picture the three silhouettes every time I see it.I didn't get to watch a lot, because our cable system dropped the channel, but my favorite moment was during Steve Reeves' Hercules. Someone's telling Hercules about these homing pigeons, and he says, "No matter where in the world they are released, they will always fly home to Athens."One of the robots says, "What if they released 'em in Athens?"Somehow that joke for me reaches the pure, clear pinnacle of absurdism. It's beautiful.Plus, I got to use it myself later. We were watching Martin Scorsese's very boring Age of Innocence, which one critic aptly described as "in many ways a perfect movie, but not a very interesting one." The narrator said of a character in it, "And in affairs of the heart, his discretion was unquestioned."My husband leaned over to me and whispered, "If he was really so discreet, shouldn't that have been unknown?"I replied, "What if they released him in Athens?"

hey, maybe they did it with fiery sticks or something?
I think you'd have to spell that "fairies' dicks." I mean, for the first few times I read it, I thought he was coining a new word, until I realized he was just illiterate.

I thought this post would have directions on how to get to heaven, like maybe a mapquest link, or something simple like "go through tunnel of light and turn left". How disappointing.

Not only the bible, but the dozens of secular souces which document that Jesus Christ was crucified and that (at least) His follows claimed that He rose from the dead. Remember that 11 out of 12 of His disciples were torchered and killed for their faith. They wouldn't have been willing to die for what they KNEW was a fraud, If He did really rise from the dead.

Please take the time to read this first post and pray that prayer to God at the bottom of it if you haven't yet.
why would anyone bother when you can't provide a single piece of objective evidence anything you said is true, or answer the question of why you are so positive you happen to be immune to religious delusion when you think humanity in general is so prone to it.

So you want to make the case that the Heaven's Gate people knew they were buying into a lie?
What's the title of that book by the Baptist minister that was dead for a while in car wreck and claims to have been to Heaven? It's something like "90 minutes bla bla" or something.
