Chrozzo's Beer Of The Day

Recommended Posts

Shouldn't a "beer of the day" thread be put together by someone that's legally been able to drink it for more than 6 months? I mean, you seemingly have good taste in beer, but I'd imagine you're not terribly experienced in selecting or describing excellent beers.

Hi.   I thought of you when I took this photo.

Warming up for for the NegO with the biggest Mexican beer out there,Pale colour, Not much head, no real nose, not a hop anywhere, very light, watery flavour, really need the lime.4.5%ABV

2 things. Chrozzo, as far as I am concerned, you started this craft beer craze for me. And 2. SuitedAces21 i hate Kansas.

Day 2:my "tied for all time" favorite:MCEWANS SCOTCH ALEBlended red-brown-black color is intriguing though populated with short, lonely strings of bubbles. A healthy suggestion of apples and alcohol pokes through the pronounced musty odor. Thick and hearty, the strong malt leads to an enjoyably creamy mouthfeel. Taste is sweet and buttery, with a vague touch of fruitiness. The hidden pleasures of this heavy-weight scotch ale whisk you away to the mist-shrouded moors of the Scottish Highlands. The pungent, syrupy finish sits heavily on the taste buds. Darkly piquant and brawny, this beer is clearly not for everyone.Alcohol content is 8.5%Chrozzo's ranking: 12/10 stars(and just fyi...AAsnake88 had this for the first time and got fucked up after 3...hehehehehe...weeeeeeeeeee)
Then proceded to finish the 6 pack, then 5 Sam boston lagers.I hate myself today, but that shit was good.

I have a friend who is an I.C.E. skymarshall on over seas flights. He has several times brought me all kinds of strange beers (in all kinds of strange sized containers) from Scottland. I will agree...it is some of the best beer Ive ever had, bar none.

Can we get a breakdown of 'Chrozzo's ranking' criteria? Like, is it based on taste, texture, price, alcohol content, rarity etc.. I see you gave Mcewans Scotch Ale 12 out of 10.Or maybe it's best that it remains a mystery, how Chrozzo judges beer?

well, i factor in many important aspects of beer when I make my decisions. You cannot rush a delicate science such as this. Price has no part in the ranking criteria, if its a good beer, money doesnt matter. Rarity has no part either. My criteria may include the scent, the hoppiness (i dont care for ultra-hoppy beers), how smooth it goes down, and basically taste. I like dark beers mostly, and since many dark beers are stronger, I supose alcohol content does factor in a little bit.
How does a beer get 12 out of 10 stars?
becuase its tied with Delirium as my favorite beer
