I mean, on the one hand I've got so many outs it seems almost like I've got a powerhouse hand. But it could still easily end up a 9 high hand by the river. None of my books really address how to play such a big draw--advice?PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)MP1 (t1660)Hero (t1950)MP3 (t1420)CO (t1280)Button (t1040)SB (t1140)BB (t1575)UTG (t2040)UTG+1 (t1395)Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 9spade.gif, 6spade.gif. 3 folds, Hero calls t50, MP3 calls t50, 1 fold, Button calls t50, 1 fold, BB checks.Flop: (t225) 8spade.gif, 7diamond.gif, Jspade.gif(4 players)BB checks, Hero...?

I can see two lines here...lead out for about 100 and call a raise. If you hit a non spade 5 or T lead again, if you hit a spade check/call and hope for a non-spade river. OR check raise the flop with a smallish raise, so that you can check a blank turn and possibly not face a large bet for fear of another check raise.I dont like check/calling at all, its too obvious especially if its the flush that hits. This also isnt quite as huge a draw as it looks, because your spades are weak and if it fills on the turn you risk losing it on the river, and because only one of your cards is needed for the high straight, and you could wind up splitting. A non spade 5 is your best turn card by far.

Nice. In either scenario, do you bluff the river if your draw is busted?

I wouldnt. Its too obviously a missed draw and you'll get called by any pair. I also dont think bluffing early in a SnG is +EV. Theres plenty of moves that can be made on the bubble.

I like bet/raise/shove.
On this street, you mean? Yeah, I'd be happy to get it all in. Or were the slashes supposed to designate flop/turn/river?

Hahahaah. The slashes denote action, he's saying if you get raised shove. I agree, I play these draws very very fast.

i wouldnt open limp this hand if youre not sure what to do when you get a big draw. i wouldnt open limp anything im MP2 really, unless I had a really really good reason/read.but since we're here we're 55% to win over AJowe're even money vs. JT :club: we're 50% with 87swe're even money with J8swe're 40% vs. 77, 88, JJwe're 47% vs. TTwe're 45% vs. 99(even money and 50% differ only in that there's a better chance to split so the even money's are 49% v 49%)

Is this a Multi or Single Table? if it's a multi i would play it hard with the reasoning for that being that you have to get chips somewhere and early on is the best time to take certain risks because you haven't invest much time and you have a good chance of doubling up here. If it was a single table i fold before the flop.

It was, I think, either a 27 or 45 player SNG.Flop: (t225) 8spade.gif, 7diamond.gif, Jspade.gif(4 players)BB checks, Hero bets t50, MP3 folds, Button calls t50, BB folds.Turn: (t325) 3club.gif(2 players)Hero...?

BET MORE ON THE FLOP
Figured I'd get hell about that. But I thought this might be a good blocking bet, a way to build the pot and get to draw, plus not have lost too much if it didn't pan out. Still, I admitted I didn't know how to play this! My line would probably make more sense with a single draw instead of a double.

Yeah the 50 screams "I am drawing" and is going to kill all action if you hit a flush card. Bet 100-125 and it looks like youre protecting something, and youre still getting the best of it odds wise.

Makes sense, thanks.
