*Lone*Trout* 0
ever consider that you're just antisocial...not racist? Not even close. Would I go play cards at a strangers house if I was antisocial? No. I am a people person, I'll engage anyone. If one thing can be said about me, it's that I am not shy by any stretch of the imagination.*L*T*
109suited 0
My guess is it had nothing to do with race. It seriously had to do with your age. My parents probably would have been a little freaked out by some old guy coming over and randomly showing up in my poker game. It's probably not fair, but parents are sometimes weirdly protective. I seriously think that's probably the reason. I'm sure you brushing off his parents didn't help, but i doubt it has anything to do with race.
timwakefield 68
I agree that most parents would be uncomfortable letting their teenage children hang out with middle-aged men, even if they were just playing cards in their own home while they (the parents) were upstairs. This probably has to do with all those Dateline reports...stupid Dateline.

If that is my fate, so be it. I don't live my life in fear of being killed because I answered a listing at homepokergames.com. I just wanted to play and I believe regardless of our age differences, poker is poker and it transcends age differences. Money is money, chips are chips, and cards are cards. That's it, nothing more.*L*T*My guess is it had nothing to do with race. It seriously had to do with your age. I am seeing a trend here. I will not send that email. I guess I'll be asking how old the host is the next time I try to find a game. The home game I played in for 2 years dried up over the summer and since poker has "jumped the shark" it's getting harder and harder to find established games. Live and learn.*L*T*
*Lone*Trout* 0
QFTYou know what Golden? GO FUCK YOURSELF. You peckerheads think you're the all knowing all truth telling mother fuckers from on high because you got a brazillion posts. Well you know what? FUCK YOU!You dont know me. At least I'm man enough to admit I made assumptions I shouldn't have. To equate me to a mental deficient because I came to "my community" to seek advice about an issue that, whether most want to admit or not, afflicts more than most in this country does not warrant your and Spademan's derision (though Spademan hates Mexicans, go figure). Like you're fucking Ghandi. Give me a break asshole.*L*T*

Anyway, you don't have to inquire about the age of the host, as long they don't live with their parents...And until I rang the doorbell and the host answered I had no way of knowing these guys were high school kids or lived with their parents. I work with high school and college kids everyday. Playing cards is playing cards. I ain't no pervert or serial killer. Christ I just wanted play some cards. Is that a crime? Whatever, I guess the cold reality of the situation dictates that I rethink this situation and avoid its repeat in the future. And I'm not hysterical, I'm sick and tired of the pontifiacting by certain posters as if they never (and if you say otherwise, I am calling bull****)allowed racism to cloud their perception of a situation or a person. In this country, black, white, Asian, Hispanic, etc. you have all looked at someone not like you and made assumptions based on stereotypes. So don't be dropping the "racist fucktard " label. Because it's yours to wear too.*L*T*

Spademan 94
Stereotyping is terrible, but everyone does it.There is a difference between a lady crossing the street because 3 bandana wearing, tatto'd up, wife-beater sporting, pants around his ankles dudes are walking towards her, and thinking "Oh, look it's the sevants" upon seeing black people in a nice house.
