Playing Style After A Break

Recommended Posts

Haven't played any poker in over a month, took a break, too busy, whatever....How do most of you play when you come back off a break, do you play tight until you get back in the groove, do you start out trying to play your normal style right away, play lots of pots right off the bat? I just have noticed that when I come back off of breaks it sometimes takes awhile to get back into the swing of things right away. Any suggestions on making the transition easier?Peace

You shouldn't ever have one style of play. You playing style should be to that which would work best at that particular table that night. But I can sort of see where you are coming from, not playing for a month and all. Just play your cards for a bit until you are feeling comfortable.

I would say put your whole bankroll in one Sit and Go and just shock yourself back into it. It might not work, but you sure would have some stories to tell....Or what they above me said.

Poker's like riding a bike (sometimes the bike has one wheel) so just go back to whatever strategy worked before!

LOL. I think that quote will be with me the rest of my life. If I make it on to a TV table at the WSOP this year, I'll be the one wearing the "I semi-ruined my life, and all I got was this lousy t-shirt" shirt.
