Zach6668 513
I c/f this flop a lot. With the way the flop went, why wouldn't you fold to the raise? You think it's the naked Ad or something? We don't have odds for 4 outs, do we? (8-1... no).Once we get to the turn though, I really don't mind a bet/call, bet/call line (on a blank river), or a bet/3-ball if we boat up. TJ_Eckleburg 0
Call preflop.Definitely check/fold the flop. I have a rule that I say to myself over and over again, because chip-spewing has been known to be a leak of mine, believe it or not:Every time I lead flops, I say to myself "Am I about to spew into a tiny pot out of position?" We don't care that our 3rd pair might be good here... just check/fold.If the flop had checked around, I'd bet/call the turn and lead a non-D river.
Actuary 3
TJ,why give up on the pot?You fold c/f AK here?
Zach6668 513
TJ,why give up on the pot?You fold AK here? The pot would be twice as big if we had AK.We'd also be leading with considerably more fold equity.Apples and passionfruits.
TJ_Eckleburg 0
TJ,why give up on the pot?You fold AK here?I give up the pot because there are 41 overcards (52 - four 2's - four 3's - Td - 4d - Qd) that are bad for our hand that are coming off for the turn.I would have auto-raised AK and auto-bet most flops, so whether or not AK is ahead here isn't relevant. And the pot's small and we're out of position.
