stevel999 0
Honestly, I hope you guys all forgot to put the "sw" at the end of your posts. Do you seriously think they're going to be playing a cash game with less than 100 BB's? Are you serious? Not a chance in hell. 3000/6000 NL is the highest NL game I've ever heard of without Andy Beal sitting at the table. If this alone isn't enough proof, who are you honestly going to believe here? Daniel Negreanu - The guy playing in the game who says it's 300/600.orCard Player - The news source where typo's aren't new (see live updates) who say its 3000/6000.Seriously.Umm, again, DN's blog was written before the last day's play. He was referring to the session on the second day when the blinds were the standard 300/600.
Craigdog 0
regardless of the stakes, it looks like a great table for tv. It be interesting to see how Greenstein & Brunson get on against Gold & Antonius.
Jam-Fly 8
3,000/6,000/12,000 ?? I highly doubt that. Min buy in of 1m would be needed if that was the case.No way it's true
ice4804 0
It is a 500k minimum buy in, not max. They obviously have to set a value for the min so there is a guideline, plus for the less than knowledgeable poker player, hearing a 500k buy in will increase the hype/ratings of the show, even if they don't know that would be a small stack in a 3k/6k/12k game. If this is true and it's not a typo, I doubt that many of the players will only buy in for the min. Players like Booth, DN, Brunson if he is playing, etc. will all be sitting with at least 1 mil. Why would some of the best players in the world knowingly short-stack themselves in the highest stakes game if they felt they had an edge over their competition? And if they don't think they have an edge, they obviously wouldn't be at the table in the first place.
Killrus 0
I almost feel dumberer for posting this. I guess some of you stop reading or stop comprehending their article. After those numbers were posted this was written..stay with me here...There was some concern as to whether having so much money on the line would make the players ultra-tight — both with how they would play and how they would interact with each other. A game with so much at stake has never been filmed before, so this was new waters for both the production crew and the players, but the pre-game concerns were for nothing.Within the first half hour, a hand developed worth more than $450,000. Reraising of $80,000 and more (much, much more at times), seemed like a rule. And if the players were in any way affected by the amounts of their bankrolls exposed, they hid it well. The poker, viewed off the stage on a monitor with a set of head phones that picked up everyone’s conversation, was immensely entertaining and fans of the show won’t be disappointed.------So ya, it looks like they raised the blinds. (unless they made a typo everywhere)
fighter 4
if the 3k-6k blinds are accurate, i feel bad for the players. gsn would be exploiting them for ratings while putting player's bankrolls at risk for the sake of ratings. i mean how much $$$ can a guy like brad booth have? you lose a couple of buyins in a game like that and your down a million. i know the players aren't forced to play, but i doubt that their egos would let them sit out.The big game is played at 4k-8k blinds. Jargonator 0
The big game is played at 4k-8k blinds.those stakes are for the limit gamesi doubt it went to 3000/6000 as they are very unlikely to multiply the blinds by 10 for just one day of the filming.
Omaha Hi/Lo 0
The big game is played at 4k-8k blinds. No, its played at 2k/4k BLINDS... its 4k/8k limit...
Omaha Hi/Lo 0
The HIGHEST NLHE ring game I've ever heard of is 1k/2k... and thats played in the Big Game with a 100k cap, so...If they have straddles and re-straddles going the whole time then its basically like a 1k/2k game (except way mor money in the pot from antes, SB and BB)
benhoug 0
The big game is played at 4k-8k blinds. The Big Game is typically plaed as a 4K/8K game (as in the blinds are 2K/4K and the betting rounds are 4K/8K). Also these games are played as FIXED LIMIT games. When they do play PL and NL games as in NL Hold 'Em, PL Omaha and NL 2-7 single draw the blinds are 1K/2K (with a 1K ante I think). There is no such thing as a NL game w/ 3K/6K blinds. Cardplayer is notorious for their typos. I promise this was misprinted and the game was 300/600/1200 and the twist was the larger buy-in. Also I think I read something on 2+2 stating that the $1200 was not a straddle, but a manditory 3rd blind, so if a player chose to straddle it woulld be to $2400 - not sure if that's true, but it makes waaaaaaay more sense than 3K/6K blinds. Jam-Fly 8
I don't think Negreanu, Farha, Esfandiari or Gold have the BR for a 3k/6k NL game. And even Brunson, Antonius, Greenstein, and Benyamine would be out of their comfort zone imo.

I only read the OP on each and maybe a couple posts.Second link dude said Jman folded for a "few" hours but Jman claimed to only play for 2 hours in the first link. Anyways, I'm surprised Jman talked about the actual hands played as Daniel has made it clear in past blogs that it's a nono for players to reveal the HSP details. Obviously if every pro wrote a blog on the hands then there wouldn't be much to watch.btw, to clarify...the Big Game in Bobby's room is typically 4k/8k. PL and NL games usually carry a 2k-4k blind structure. However, during times of high traffic (e.g. WSOP) it's not uncommon for the game to become 8k/16k. It was actually played 8k/16k for quite some time until it became obvious the game couldn't sustain itself with stakes that high. The Big Game is played with a cap and HSP does not have a cap bet. For that reason alone I simply don't believe the game could've been 3k-6k with 12k straddles.
benhoug 0
http://www.cardplayer.com/poker_news/article/8871Cardplayer officially fixed their typo. The game was $300/$600/$1200 with three blinds and a $500K buy-in.
