Pokertracker The Best

Recommended Posts

I just started playing a bit more cash games, mostly omaha hi/lo, and need to get some kind of software to track my results. Is pokertracker the best? Are there cheaper alternates? I dont mind dropping the $55 if it is worth it. any input? thanks.

just got PT hold em and I love it.. I was thinking of getting the omaha version too but if you play frequently I suggest you get it.

I dont have PT, and I'm thinking its gonna be a good investment to take my game to the next level. I always thought programs like this would be misleading, but like Zach says, the self-analysis might fix some leaks and give me some good feedback.

I'll add my endorsement. I couldn't live without PT for both holdem and omaha. Although I've never used anything else in 3 years so I can't compare it to other software.

What kind of info does it give about your opponents play?
Everything that it gives you.Except hole cards that were not shown down.

Can you be more specific than that. How does it break down the data? What does it measure?
Literally everything.Go to http://pokertracker.com and download the demo. You can import up to 1000 hands, it should be more than enough to show you how much you can do with this program.

lol at that, not at you just the question. If I wrote out everything that this thing tracks, I would run out of space in the post and have to make a second one. PT is absolutely the best thing to happen to online cash game players. I don't really play a lot of cash, but I'm kinda starting to get back into it, and already I've set-up my new database and preferences and they're ready to go whenever I sit down.PT along with GT+ or PokerAceHUD is unbelievably valuable when playing. I only use it to track my cash results since I have my own spreadsheet for tourneys, but right now I just loaded an old hand history from last month when I won the 25k guaranteed 50+5 on Stars, and I'm rewatching the entire tournament through the hand replayer to take a look at how I played so I can study any mistakes or great plays I think I made. It's the nuts.Poker TrackerAceHud or Gametime+PokerStoveall great tools to use.

TY sir, I'm definitely gonna look into getting it. I'm starting to be more successful in cash games and MTT and I think it would be helpful to analyze my results.

Ask me something that could possibly known about any hand either I or any opponent I've played in my entire online history, and I will be able to use poker tracker to get that info. The only thing that it doesn't track that I think I would like sometimes is the time it takes someone to make a decision. But thats getting a little picky.Mark

So from what I hear it is pretty in depth. Hopefully its user friendly though, cause I'm not the best with computer programs

I dont know where else to post this. I have been wanting to buy poker tracker for a while and finally did today, thanks to this post. However, I am having trouble setting up a new database for the 2nd trny I am playing with it, all my stats are combining with the ones from first tourney. Been messing around with it for 20 min. any advice would be helpful.
