Just got home from the local Casino. Busted out of the $100 Freezeout in 12th place (top 10 pay) and was going to go home, but decided to play $1/2 NL for awhile since the game looked pretty good. I buy in for $200 and within 90 I'm sitting on about $450. Limped to me on the button and I make it $10 with 8h8d. 6 callers. Flop comes Kh-9c-8s. Checked to me and I bet $20, 2 callers then guy to my right minraises. Only real draw is J-10 here, so I just call as do the other 2. Turn is 8c. Everyone checks to me and I check behind. River 7c. Guy in EP leads for $30 all fold to me and I make it $80, hoping he calls. To my surprise, he pushes all in (for another $120 or so) and I quickly call tabling quad 8s. He quickly turns over Jc10c for the rivered straight flush. I lose the pot but win the big bad beat jackpot for $4917. I ended up playing til close at 4:00am and cash out a total of $5550. I've been at a table before, but never involved in the bad beat, so it felt pretty good to get this one. For the rest of the night, it made for such a great game, winner of the hand got almost $2500 and everyone else at the table just over $700. FUN NIGHT!

No BBFIDTS for you my friend. You suck at poker for not laying your quads down to the obvious runner-runner straight flush. You have to thank god on your knees he's letting you play in a bb-jackpotcasino.Erm, nothing more to ad here I'm rambling.Spend the money wisely.Peace,Jan

Consider yrself very lucky they had a BB jackpot. I won a pot awhile back live at the Borgata with a royal Ad/Kd on a board of Qd/Jd/10d obv. My opponent had the 8d/9d. No bad beat jackpot. He was noticably upset.

I was in a $10-$20 limit hold em ring game last night in my local casino and the sickest hand came up that I just have to mention even though I was not involved.Flop As-Qc-Jsturn Qhriver QsThere were 3 people that capped the betting at the river with the following results.Player 1 pocket jacksPlayer 2 A-QPlayer 3 Ks-10sSo player 1 flops top two but is in third place to the flopped set and the flopped straight. On the turn player 1 retakes the lead, player 2 remains in second with a lower full house and player 3 is now in third with the straight. The river brings the royal flush for player 3 and if player 2 was not in the hand then the betting would have gone in for quite awhile as player 1 admitted after the hand too not even seeing the Royal. Crazy crazy hand and whats worse is there is no bad beat jackpot in the Ontario casino I play at. During this session there was also 3 other sets of quads (2 being quad aces) in a 6 hour period. Also during this 6 hour period I had aces 5 times, Kings once and queens twice and only won 1 pot (quad aces). This was one of the sickest sessions I have ever played.

I hate the BBJ.I wish the Casino would get rid of the BBJ and replace it with a "You Think That Beat Was Bad, Watch This..." scheme.Take a bad beat with quads or better and instead of receiving a stupid jackpot, you're immediately tasered, your stack is confiscated and you're forbidden from ever entering the casino again.
