tskillz187 0
I actually watched this movie last night because I'm a loser. It sucked, was very sappy and boring. The review that PPSux put up is pretty spot on. The poker scenes were pretty good and believeable though.Edit: Oh, except for the ridiculous collusion/cheating at the Final Table. Kuge 0
http://movies.yahoo.com/mv/news/ap/2007050...7848166000.html The gap between "Spider-Man 3" and the No. 2 movie DreamWorks and Paramount's "Disturbia" at $5.7 million was larger than any other movie's debut. "Disturbia," which had been No. 1 for three-straight weekends, raised its total to $59.9 million. The weekend's only other new wide release, the romantic drama "Lucky You" from Warner Bros., bombed with $2.5 million to come in at No. 6.Directed by Curtis Hanson ("L.A. Confidential"), "Lucky You" stars Drew Barrymore as a budding Las Vegas singer, Eric Bana as skilled gambler and Robert Duvall as his estranged father in a tale set against the World Series of Poker. Golden 2
Saw it. The poker was barely passable - the rest was formulaic and predictable.Ugh.
vbnautilus 48
I know its going to be horrible, but I also know I'm going to watch it anyway. Don't you hate that?
Oziumrules 0
I just saw it. Drew looked 45 yrs old. The poker was believeable and Daniel read his lines like DeNiro. I gave it a 6.5 out of 10.

theresa113 0
I am a sucker for poker and chick flicks but I think from the reviews, I will wait until it comes on pay per view.
Actuary 3
The author of the review in the link.....she says this is the first poker movie to be made (I guess she never heard of Rounders) and that the movie is a few years too late, because the poker boom peaked a few years ago.ironically Sunny is not very bright

seemorenuts 0
BTW, waiting for the DVD is the way to go on this one, since I will be doing the audio commentary on the play of the hands.DN plays me in this flick, only with more talent than he actually has, great acting, Daniel! More chips, please, two.On a serious note, PM me if you are in Toronto, and you want to get together to view this, but more importantly, to view the DVDS (see expertholdem.com) or various good video streams on how to play advanced holdem (cardrunners.com, pokerxfactor.com, pocketfives.com, stoxtrader.com, etc.) collectively while we play together.Serge, that means you, we have a buddy in common, remember? (and let's filter out the immature players... okay?cough cough royal tour cough cough who haven't yet completed puberty)
BDPoolie 0
Saw it today with my Fiance, we liked it alot. I thought it was a really good movie and it didn't paint poker in a bad light at all. It was cool seeing so many pros, even if only for a couple min. And even though my Fiance doesn't play nearly as much poker as I do, it was cool talking to her about poker during the movie. I'd suggest seeing it for sure! Please don't talk DURING the movie. That's rude.

dfmaicher 0
Collusion at the final table is the way the character "redeems" himself after stealing, criticizing for somebody not cheating for him, etc etc?the cameos were entertaining but i hated watching hennigan and many other pros being called some fictitious name...enjoyed parts of it, but overall it was a POSCollusion............ you do realize that it involves two people acting together. Did you even watch the movie? Did you see the two people acting together to benefit each other. Why don't you understand something before you try to talk about it.Movie was enjoyable. It was a fun date movie with some good scenes. People seem to forget just as with Spiderman 3 and comic fans that the movie is made for the masses and not for the one specific fan type. This movie had a good poker plot and an ejoyable romance theme.
