Daniel On "the Replacements"

Recommended Posts

For those of you with kids, you know what I mean. This is a show on Disney Channel that on the surface looks fine. But, once you watch an episode or two, you quickly realize what its teaching our youth is TERRIBLE. The show gets its name from the fact that kids can call this company and "replace" some person they don't like - be it their teacher, coach, etc. Thats NOT what we should be teaching kids. Learning to live amongst our peers is what we should be teaching them. I don't like you much anyway, Daniel, but I think if you had kids (please don't, btw, your lifestyle is a terrible influence on youth), you would understand this show is not something you should support.

Dear Daniel Why cant i be good at poker like you?? It isnt fair!! You already have a great life playing games and being rich and now you get to be on TV too. I tried to ignore you by living through my kid but then you turn up on the disney channel to remind me about how much I suck at life. What you think going on a kids program to remind me about your life and also rub the fact you dont have kids in my face is funny. Having offspring was bad enough for me but giving them the idea that they can do anything and be anyone is not fair. What if they succeed where i failed? then what? I already cry myself to sleep with thought of caressing your hair i have nowhere to go from here. Please acknowledge my existance and send a lock of your hair.
FYP. no need to mince words around here just say what you mean.

If you look hard enough at most shows you can find something that sets a bad example, its your job as a parent to discuss these issues with your children and to ensure your the one teaching them lifes lessons not a television show. The bolded part is a wonderful lesson to teach your children about treating people with respect and not be overly judgemental. Good work...father of the year I'm sure.

I can remember vaguely the Road Runner Wiley Coyote & Tom Jerry cartoons as a kid making me drop large ACME anvils on my siblings heads. Those subliminal messages in cartoons are damaging...my brother still cant count to ten and his sense of smell is off a bit. sw

Ah, Looney Tunes... they just don't make mildly racist and xenophobic cartoons like they used to. :club:
