If You Won The Wsop...

Recommended Posts

Yeah, every number apart from just 0 are winning numbers. It's just one of those situations where it's technically +ev, so a 'true' gambler (whatever that is) would never pass up the bet. However, it can be viewed as realistically -ev because obviously you've got $12M on the line... so if you lose, the implied odds are total life f.uck up> severe depression> imminent suicide.Don't take the bet.... go party!!! :icon_dance:

I would call my 5 best friends, take each one to a seperate strip club, give them all 81,000 dollars, and let them all make it rain.Pac man's crew not invited.

This is just to see how sick you are at FCP.Say you just won this year's event, and as you were collecting your money (or sorting out payment methods etc), the casino manager came up to you and offered you a chance to double it.It would be one spin of the roulette table, but all you have to do is avoid 0. So, any other number is a win... your odds of winning are 37/1 ON. Put $12M on it?
No. Why? Because if anybody actually offered me that deal, it's sure to be rigged. If I could somehow be sure I wasn't being cheated? Of course I would. Just a few minutes earlier, I would have been making substantially riskier decisions impacting something far more important (i.e. THE BRACELET), so there's no sense in stopping now when I can double up. I already proved I have what it takes to win the championship; the money is just gravy. EV+! Besides, if I lost, I'd go down in history as having the mother of all bad beat stories. Not to mention earning a cool reputation as a superbad*ss gambler, so why not? heh. In the end, the worst that could happen is I'd be down my buy-in, up a bracelet, and have a great story people would remember for years...it's all good.

Have this conversation on the phone:Me: Honey, I just won the Main Event and $12 Million. Her: WOW, That's great.Me: Pack your Bags babyHer: All right, uhh should I pack for warm weather or cold?ME: I don't care, just as long as you're gone when I get home.I of course would not do this, and I would for absolute sure take the roulette bet, as often as they let me roll it.
