Live Straddle

I myself don't straddle... but in the game I play in picking up a big hand while someone straddles will pick you up a good pot (the game is pretty loose). Why isn't this an option for online play... too donkish?

Farha & Elezra need to get a site going. I'm sure that there would be a straddle. It probably would be required as part of the game.

I was playing a 1/2nl game and the same guy put out a stradle everytime. I never had anything the first few orbits. Finally after a few callers I decided to call in the dark. He never looked at his hand and checked. Flop was A24. He looks and bets out. It folds to me and I now look and I have 35. I call his bet. Turn is 7 and he bets again and I raise he goes all-in huge. I call and he had AA and the board doesn't pair. He was basically cussing me out for calling with 35 but I did it in the dark and just got lucky. I told him if he doesn't stradle everytime I would not be in the hand and I think that just put him on super tilt.

No, that's called min raising utg blind, a straddle means you have the option of checking or betting (like the BB)

A few weeks after windsor had opened their room they banned straddles. I was like wtf is this?Anyhoo, I love straddles. A few straddles can pull a crappy game out of the muck. I've been in some limit $10/$20 games that were straddle capped almost every pot for a couple hours. Get the right mixture of players and straddles are the greatest thing ever. On the internet with all the donks, It would be great!!!. You'd think it would make the pots bigger and a better chance of getting max rake. One would think the sites would love that. But on second thought. It may slow the game down. It would have to be posted with the blinds. Time would have to be taken to ask the UTG if they want to straddle. You'd probably lose a couple hands per hour.

Nah. Just add an "auto-straddle" checkbox. Along with a "chop blinds" checkbox. Pretty simple really and I don't know why none of the majors have done it.

fcp poker room has a straddle option, but I don't use it. Nice to have tho

TI poker room in vegas has an unlimited straddle where you can stradle for any amount(at least double the bb of course). Ive heard of people stradling for $200 in a 1/2nl game there. yum yum.

Since when does Casino Windsor allow live straddles again? They did once the poker room first opened but I haven't seen them since.

so, the straddles you guys play arent live?I would imagine that AA after a straddle when action returns to AA, that he raises.if its not a live straddle, its just pure ghey

There are no live straddles allowed in AC but they do allow a blind raise. Yes, it is ghey.
